  1. We made it up to Lebanon and the truck was acting funny so we pulled off to check it out. The wheel wells had totally filled with ice and the tires were hitting up against it. Nothing to do but keep driving. That reminds of when my dad was driving back from Montana. I feel asleep only to wake up and see my dad sleeping behind the wheel and driving down the grass median. He was out like a light and he looked so peaceful. Then I woke him up and he jerked back up on the pavement. I couldn't stop laughing at him.
  2. Congrats on the new house. I'll be Thursday night to Sunday if you can make it. They are calling for snow here Sunday so I may leave Saturday to beat it. I got caught in an ice storm coming back from Taney a bunch of years ago and I don't want to do that again. Took me 11 hours to get home. Pete
  3. Thanks Cody. I should have jumped on this back when you guys started talking about it. I love red fishing! Are you going to Taney this weekend? Pete
  4. I worked at GM for 15 years and these types of injury were common to a fault. Instead of 200 MG's of ibuprofen they would prescribe 600-800 mg's. Alternate ice and heat. Physical therapy. Pete
  5. Everybody's??!!! Uh Oh!!!! Pete
  6. I'm in, pm sent. I'm going down Thursday night to Sunday. I think Terrierman is in too. Is the potluck dinner Saturday night? Pete
  7. I saw a fishing last night and the guy was whacking bull reds on what looked like a ned rig. Man I wish I was going. Pete
  8. I used to wade it but it was years ago. No different than wading below any dam. Just make sure you have an escape route if the water comes up. We used to catch some nice trout down there in the winter. Pete
  9. Man! The softer gentler side of Wrench. Must be the bride. I kind of like it. Pete
  10. Just sayin.
  11. I'm in weather permitting. And I can't wait. I have about the same tolerance as Ham. Other than that similarity we're quite different. I'm charismatic, handsome, charming....... Well, you get the idea. Pete
  12. Wow! That looks real.
  13. Never been to a weigh. Hmmm. Might have to check that out. Pete
  14. I hear you wrench. I do it because I burn. Easily. I'm a white, white guy. Blistered by the sun is no picnic. Pete
  15. I love fishing the White River chain but it's a long haul and usually I have to go for a whole weekend. It's nice to go in the morning and be home to BBQ in the afternoon. I wish I lived near the big lakes so I could go anytime I want without driving 4 hours. Pete
  16. I think I'm going to get another pond prowler so I can fish more often. 2-5 hour drives to trout fish kind of limit how many times I can go. I used to take a bunch of day trips bass fishing within an hour of the house until the guy I used to go with moved to LOZ. I miss those trips a lot. Pete
  17. Where have I heard that before ? Bride??? Just sayin. Pete
  18. I have been wearing them for quite a few years now. Close to 10 years now I think. I like the Patagonia pull overs and Exoficio button downs. I have a couple that are bleached out on the shoulders so that gives you an idea of how much exposure they've had. I also wear sun gloves, wide brim hat and gators for my neck. When I first started wearing the wide brimmed hat my buddies were dogging me. Now we all seem to be wearing them. Pete
  19. In the end she'll get it. Nice try though. Pete
  20. Two for bride. One for you. Pete
  21. Cracking the whip Al. Pete
  22. Google Joan Wulff and watch her free videos online. She boils it down pretty well. I think fly casting is like swinging a golf club. The earlier in life you start the better you'll be. Similar mistakes to both. People who take up golf later in life apply what they know about swinging a baseball bat to it. People who take up fly casting later in life apply what they know about spin or bait casting to it. Both are completely different and only make learning harder. I taught me kids by having them go to the extreme then pull them back. Try and crack that line like a bull whip then ease off until the line unfurls. Pete
  23. The girls hang out at the indoor pool and I get to fish. Works well for the winter blues. I still have the last weekend in January on the schedule. I hope Phil can get it together. I had a great time on the White. Thanks for letting me tag along in your boat. Pete
  24. Bride!!!!??? I've heard some big fish tales on here but that takes it. Pete
  25. A quick heads up in case anyone will be there. Pete
