  1. Hey 2sets I like SJW's since my driveway is covered with worms. I hate to report though that generation has increased to 2 full units after raining all day. I found out why I never really got along with my neighbors, one is a shuffler and the other is keeping more than his limit. SIO3
  2. It's been raining here in St. Charles all night and the culvert behind my house has one unit running. SIO3
  3. That's world class no matter who you are. Nice!! SIO3
  4. This is in today's Post http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/sports/st...9A?OpenDocument SIO3
  5. His buddy is at his funeral and tells everyone "everything was fine until I pulled a loose thread from his suit" SIO3
  6. I love it. I'd go for it year round also. It's hard to do much when it's dark. I'll take the extra time in the evenings every time. Bug sprayed the house last night after fishing in the afternoon. Probably clean out the garage one evening next week. If I'm not playing golf or fishing. SIO3
  7. Wouldn't be the first joke I missed. Fish on people. SIO3 PS I went bass fishing yesterday in the subdivision lake. Caught a few but today might be the real deal.
  8. I did Pat. Scroll to see it. Am I missing the joke? SIO3
  9. I didn't want to step on any toes or seem like a know it all, but when I see a guy planning a first trip and he mentions his family, I think a word about safety is paramount. SIO3
  10. Good info Clay but one thing he should be aware of is that the dam number is often wrong and not updated. The weekend of Feb 23-25 we camped at Quarry with 2 units running and the dam line said 0 units. It didn't update for 2 hours. I think the beginning of the message says "don't use this to predict safe water conditions" SIO3
  11. Okay we have a serious problem here Pat. You don't fish in those exotic places and you don't play golf at Sawgrass???????!!!!!!!!!!!! I should go in your place. Early morning fishing, then mid-morning tee-time and back out for the evening bite. Just let me know when we leave. SIO3
  12. Hi again Man you were in those places and didn't fish???!!! Yeah you can fish and rinse. I understand the cash thing. The biggest problem with saltwater fishing is access. With that said, you would be surprised how good beach fishing can be. Ladyfish, redfish, blues, snook and even pompano right in the surf. Did you call Ed and those guys? SIO3
  13. Hi Pat Call Feathercraft and talk to Ed. Every place I've been on vacation he seems to know some way to catch fish from the beach or whatever. SIO3
  14. Leonard's got a gas-station??? I didn't know that. SIO3
  15. 9:04 AM on Mar 6th and it looks like 2 units to me. SIO3
  16. I'm gonna try that one RPS, thanks. I put the salmon on one side of the grill and a hickory fire on the other. Put lid lid on and check it about 25-35 minuted later depending on thickness. Gives em a nice smokey doneness then put on whatever sauce you want. I like a little salt and pepper or BBQ sauce. My wife likes brown sugar melted over them for the last 10 minutes or so. Two things about salmon. Always wild and always fresh not frozen. SIO3
  17. Best crappie pile I ever saw and fished was a wood pallet hanging under a dock. It was hung by one end like a ladder from the bottom of the lake up. Fish stacked in each level like a condo. Guy told me he would change the pallet every 3 years or so. SIO3
  18. I'll be watching for your post's Cotterboy. I fly fish but we have a boat and have been known to bait fish on generation on Taney, White and Norfork. Don't worry Trav, it really only matters to you and the fish.
  19. Good idea, thanks Dano SIO3
  20. Thank you John. They had a small sign at the entrance to the park by the offise telling of the boil order. I even called the national reservation number and they don't know. SIO3
  21. If you are fishing tailwaters you better get a good handle on what you are doing because it can be quite dangerous. Learn about water fluctuations and the time it takes for the water to get to the areas you fish. No!! you can't hear the horn at the dam when you are Rim Shoals. SIO3
  22. Hey John We were camping at Quarry Park last October and they had a boil water order in effect. Do you know if it's been fixed or not? Thank you in advance. I called the phone number but nobody works there in the off season. Maybe I'll see you, your wife and dog at Rim again. SIO3

    Golf

I agree Big Creek is awesome. Never heard of Murder Rock, what's up with that? Where? Who designed it? I'm surprised nobody mentioned my favorite, Pointe Royale. When those greens are running fast, it's a handful. Haven't played it in years though. I've lost a lot of money on that track. SIO3

    Golf

I play alot. I live in the St. Louis metro area and play 2 leagues a week plus any other time I can go. Which amounts to 3 times a week at least. That's the schedule when the time changes to daylight savings. I hit the heated tees every couple weeks during the cold spells but I'll play if it's above 40 and not too windy. Haven't been able to play for a few weeks now and it's killing me. Cabin fever has set in. Can't wait for March 10 which is the first league day of the year. SIO3
  25. That's the best report I've seen in a looonnnngg time. Great!!! Let's see, I haven't been since December and they have snow and sleet warnings for this weekend. Which, we were going to go to Mountain Home but the trip is now canceled. Maybe next weeekend I'll go. SIO3
