  1. As tempting as that may be I'll have to pass. My company has a 4 acre lake in the back of the property that was stocked years ago with bass. Then the Mississippi flooded into it and nobody has fished it since. I'm taking the pond prowler over there this weekend.
  2. Linger is putting lightly.
  3. Don't even get me started on skinny jeans and big flipper shoes the "hipsters" wear. I have jobs in New Jersey and New York and all the young guys wear them. Bunch of sissy's if you ask me.
  4. You know I was just dogging you right?? Those page view counts were interesting to see how internet fisherman were out there. I'll send you a bag of Redhot Riplets.
  5. Am I missing? The old site had the page view count. I always thought that was interesting. That way we could predict how much company Chief is going to have this spring.
  6. I've heard that before. Good luck.
  7. Ahh the old wooly worm spinner! Boy that brings back memories. To add to the already good advice stop by Weaver's and they'll hook you up with the latest hot lure. Let them wet wade if they want to. I know it's cold but my kids would do it anyway and they loved it. Take lots of pics.
  8. I was out of town for a while so I haven't made it yet. I googled it up and it's a guy called "Dr Shakshuka". Although the show I saw he put spicy sausage in it too.
  9. Yesterday there had to be 60 of them out there at lunch time.
  10. I drive through Dardenne bottoms everyday. For the past 3 weeks there would be 20 to 40 birds out there at first and last light. Now I don't see them then but I see them at lunch time. I pulled over and watched a gobbler cut a hen out the group and I think there will baby's soon. I just thought it was interesting that they were out mid day now. Good luck.
  11. Benjamin pump pellet gun and a wrist rocket. Deadly!
  12. Bass in the morning, gills in the afternoon, fillets for dinner.
  13. Caught several nice bluegill on the Ned. Good eatin right there.
  14. Technically it was a skin mount and he ate the fillets.
  15. I had a buddy that grew a small mouth to just under 3 lbs. in a tank. When it died he had it mounted.
  16. I actually went out hoping for a good spinner bait bite. No bites or follows. Dropped cell phone in lake. Baked it in a sunny window all afternoon and this morning it's back. I might give it another go today. SIO3
  17. Sheesh! And I thought JoeD was full of it.
  18. I saw a guy cooking this last night on TV and I'm going to try it. Anyone ever made this before? It looks great. there are a couple different spelling apparently. The guy said the trick is to stir the egg whites so they cook but keep the yokes runny. Shakshuka.
  19. That sounds serious to me Dave. Seriously good that is.
  20. Years ago it was a subdivision lake. Very good fishing and duck hunting back then. People have no respect anymore.
  21. Doc Fords sucked and that's all I have to say about that. Today's fishing was tough. The are releasing huge water out of okeechobee and its mud water. They've had the problem since January. One small snook caught and one broke off. No other bites at all. You could clearly see the difference in water color today. Still a nice day and Captain Steve didn't try to conserve gas. We ran everywhere. Funny thing. We pull into the second spot and flip that pin fish in there and bam I'm on. We both grinned thinking it was on. One more bite that I broke off in a mangrove and that was it. Cant wait to go out again! pete
