  2. Hey Troutringer Head down hwy 30 to Byrnes Mill, it's about twenty minutes down south. The Big River is in that area and there are several public access points you could try. The area is used heavily by fisherman and partiers alike, but the fishing can be good at times. Good luck and give us a report if you go. SIO3
  3. Nice vids!!! Thanks. What golf course were you bass fishing at? SIO3
  4. Thanks for the reports guys. My brother was down there last weekend and he heard they had a fish kill during the high water the week before. Anybody hear that? He said there were fish, belly up everywhere. I read Weaver's reports but nothing has ever come out about it. SIO3

  16. I was down over the weekend and I couldn't catch a trout under 12 inches. I wanted fry some up and I just couldn't catch one small enough. I fly fished from the cable to the Big Hole. I wouldn't keep one over twenty so that didn't matter. Went to Red Lobster instead. SIO3
  17. Phil, someone is selling wading trips in feeder creeks and has been all winter. Catch fish or it's free. SIO3
  18. In your first post you mention the State Park. It's a great place to camp but a long way to fish anywhere else. SIO3
  19. And don't rely on that too much either. Talk to Gary at Rim, he'll line you out and keep you from drowning while you whackem!!! Have fun and report your success to us. SIO3
  20. Let em go! I just plant em and let em rip. I don't have time to mess with em much. Side benefit is, critters can't get at em either. Turtles will put the hurt on em in a hurry around my house. SIO3
  21. 64 is closed from Kingshighway to 170 due to construction. You can google the shops and see where they are located. SIO3
  22. I know this sounds strange but it works extrememly well. I hang the containers and put the plant in the bottom hole. So it's growing upside down out of the bottom drain hole. The plant comes out the bottom and grows toward the ground. I hang them at least 5 feet above the ground and there is no reason to stake them because they hang out the bottom. Make sure that what you hang them from is stout, because they can get real heavy. Once I started doing it, my neighbors saw how well they did and everyone was doing it the next year. Now I plant basil and oregano in the top and the tomatoe out the bottom. SIO3
  23. You could just look at the USGS water level site pinned to the top of the Current River Section you are posting in. Here it is for you. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site..._cd=00065,00060 SIO3
  24. I'm sorry to hear that Pat. Good luck. My wife and I are both out of work. Not really laid off, there just isn't any business. SIO3
  25. Hi Terry I went to Cancun a few years ago and went out with a guide for baby tarpon on the fly. The bay inside the "7" at Cancun is a tarpon nursery and fish to 50 lbs are common. I took my wife and then 6 year old daughter out for an evening into the night trip and it was awesome. I had a tarpon on for quite a while and when I got it near the boat a very large croc came out of the mangrove to eat it. The guide was stabbing it with a push pole and the croc was snapping his jaws at it. My wife was taking pics and my daughter was screaming bloody murder. We got it in and my daughter was so frightened we couldn't calm her down till we hit dry land. What a trip!!!!!!!! I've caught many saltwater fish but those baby tarpon were unbelievable when hooked. I couldn't imagine a 150 pound mature fish on a 12 weight. cancunlighttackledotcom. BTW, as anywhere in the Gulf, April and May are peak months. Don't forget the surf fishing at dusk and dawn for jacks and barracuda. SIO3
