  1. Last time I was up there last month it was pretty much worthless to even go out. Lol sounds like it's not a whole lot better now though.
  2. Can anyone tell me if the water still mud on the entire lake?
  3. Or possibly those 4 & 5 were 6 Lbers before the had spawned out. I know a couple of the 4 Lbers wheeler has caught were long and skinny, def spawned out. Id say that will have a little to do with it.
  4. Thank you very much. I am very unfamiliar with this lake and its gonna be a new experience either way.. Thank you very much for your time and help!
  5. Hey navery, thanks for the info. Is there a place I can find where the high water ramps are?
  6. Again, this isnt the same thing you've seen on TV before. Same MLF format but it's the Bass Pro Tour and not the summit cup. They wont be aired til fall but you can watch the live streams on they're website
  7. Guys, this weekend is the Crappie and Carp trip i was talking about last week. Can anyone tell me what the lake conditions are right now in different places after all the big rains have passed?
  8. Hey oneshot, Im soposed to be comming up on Saturday this week and was gonna throw a flat bottom in there at Fairfield, Is that even possible and any idea what the water condition is there? Plans may have just changed. LOL
  9. Hes my pick this week, awesome dude, with MDJ and DC to go with him. All three making the top 10 cut would be pretty cool.
  10. Im going to go with Wheeler and MDJ and Connell, i love to watch these guys compete against each other as friends also. Wheeler is a great TW guys and DC just has a couple top tens already. MDJ will finese and get the numbers he needs to make the cut as will Wheeler.
  11. Pretty darn good idea and honestly I dont even own any so I've never tried it. I will def be picking some up and give that a shot and keep them in the boat. Any suggestion where or what types work well?
  12. I agree, the only reason I was forced to run around 3 is because my trolling motor battery had died and I was not ready to go home yet. So I was forced to save a little battery and try to run the motor as slow as I could. We did catch a few that way so I'm not going to say it did not work but it's like you said that would pull out of their mouth usually and we just be stuck with the rear hook still in. I don't get to go nearly as often as I would like so when I'm not ready to leave I will do almost anything I can just to stay on the water. LOL
  13. I know we were running our baits at about 13-14 ft bc wed hit bottom at that depth. The days weve been up last week it seemed like the trolling motor out fished the big motor by far. I think we were around 1.3 or so. At that speed the fish were hooked well with both front and back hooks. At the higher 3 mph speed with the big motor, the fish seemed to only catch the back hook and we lost way more fish on the way to the boat
  14. We had similar resluts doing the exact same thing in those depths. Congrats!!!
  15. And fyi, the water went from 68 on Sunday to 62 in thur when I was there. All the females we caught were still full of eggs and I'd say at least a week away from being ready. The eggs were not loose or runny at all. If this helps anyone. This only applies for the mutton creek area of the lake for us because we stick within a few miles from there everytime.
  16. I was out yesterday and it was cold. The fishing was fair again as we did come home with 20 crappie and 1 walleye. Most were caught in the mutton creek cove out of the wind and everyone of them was caught pulling #6 bright colored flicker shads. We were in water 12-17 foot trolling very slowly. The bite was better the slower we went. Not sure this is gonna help anyone but that's what we found
  17. It's all good, anytime any of y'all see me feel free to holler at me. I'll be fishing around Mutton Creek today until 6 ish then I'm meeting a buddy over at CC and we are going to do some bowfishing this evening
  18. Here's the boat and I will be up there I. About an hour to be there again.
  19. Hey Ranger, thank you very much for the advice. Im not from around there at all but i do know where the Tebo creek area is just off google maps, What exactly does T6 mean? Lol Im sure its a no brainer for someone up there but not this guy. Lol Sorry for the million questions but I really do appreciate it a TON!!!!
  20. See Mutton Creek titled post for my opinion
  21. You can see my last 2 post in the Mutton Creek title for how we did. We had some pretty decent luck yesterday. 12 keeper crappie and 1 nice walley. WT were 62-63 but we only got to fish less than 4 hours from 630-1030ish. Best results were actually in Googer creek across from mutton and it was very dirty. No floaters but almost like chocolate milk. We run back in there just to see the water and threw out a couple flicker shad and for a couple min and got bit so we stayed. Pulled the #6 flickers in water about 15-17 foot and caught the majority of our fish that way
  22. I'd say 10-12 ft down in average 15-17 ft of wster
  23. We got on the water at 630 and off at 1030 due to prior obligations ur we had a pretty decent morning and it was just an amazing morning to be on the water. We put it at mutton and stayed pretty close, started out shallow trying to throw jigs but only a couple takers. Our best bite was pulling #6 flicker shads with the trolling motor in about 12-17 ft of water. Ended up with 12 crappie and 1 22 inch walleye to boot. Great time and worth the trip.
  24. We had a fairly decent trip. Only fish from 630 to 1030 bc of prior obligations but we out in a mutton. And stayed pretty close. We started shallow with jigs and flickers but ended up in 12-17 ft useing the trolling motor and just pulling around flicker shads. Ended up with 12 crappie and 1 22 in walleye. All in all awesome morning and fishing wasnt terrible. Thanks your your input yesterday
  25. Thank you very much, we will be targeting mainly crappie but dont worry, I'll have a couple extra rods in the boat just in case. I cant stand it when something looks to good not to throw a frog or buzz bait across it. Lol. I'll post our results
