Talk about a kick to the mid section. I went on my family vacation to the Dominican, which is Amazing by the way, and get home early Thursday morning and get on Thursday just to see I didn' make it home in time to set a line up. I woulda done it early buy it was already set for last week' line up. Ugh. We need to all throw out worst weeks score out. LMAO. Oh well, I'll still keep playing because it' fun buy when you miss a week you just as well kids it goodbye. -
I would absolutely Love to Jerry, however I will be in the Dominican on vacation with the family from the 27-3. Let me know amytime though. I work every other weekend so hopefully I can make one work

Jerry, your beating a dead horse with some of these guys. Opinions are just that and some guys are never going to change. I'm with you 100% but no matter what you or I will ever say or try to prove, it does 0 good on this topic.

2018 KVD Big Bass Classic - March 24th/25th
Targa98 replied to Big Bass Tour's topic in Table Rock Lake
I honestly did not mean anything bad at all about my original multi weigh in post. I Loved the Event and it was awesome how everyone made me feel up there. To get to feel like a pro going across that stage and getting checks is a pretty cool feeling. I completely understand the need to keep it where it is and the logistics of the entire event. I was simply thinking out loud how much different our strategy would have been had it not been all the way at long creek. We had 1 very dangerous run all weekend and it was to the 3 o'clock weigh in saturday simply because of the wind and it being a warmer day where the LARGE boats decided to get out and about also. Sunday wasnt nearly as bad. It will NOT keep me from fishing it again next year as I wish it was already here. Great Job to Everyone involved. -

It was brutal on Saturday with the wind and "Cabin Cruisers" and Branson ducks around the Branson Belle area. Wasn't very safe at times. It would be nice to see dual weigh in locations or like Jerry said, somewhere mid lake. But this being a BP sponsored event I see the reason for where it is located. It plays a huge part in strategy though with that weigh in location. It was still a great event and will be back next year for sure. -

Hey EvilCat, not saying this was a huge fish but we did weigh a Smallie that went 3.57 and was good enough for a 10th place check in one of the Sunday weigh ins. Again, Not a huge fish by any means but it was a beautiful fish. The other 2 we weighed for checks were both Blacks and we caught some nice Ks that just were under 3 that we did not weigh in and would not have checked. -
Very much agreed but to say cape fair area on a RC leaves a ton of privacy. That could be anywhere from bridgeport to Pinney and thats a whole lot of water to cover with what ever color RC youd like. That is not at all giving anything away. It was a very General statement by a gentleman who was fishing out of the back of a boat. I dont get to fish enough to worry about it too much but Congrats to that man. It was a fairly tough weekend and I got lucky enough to cash 2 checks and I was no where near Cape Fair. Lol I considered myself pretty lucky with that many entrants this year. Congrats to all.

It really was a great time to fish. Really makes AMATEURS feel pretty good when they have to weigh in during these things. I was lucky enough to get a couple checks myself but just couldnt find that big fish we were looking for. (3.89 & 3.65) so between that and my partner getting a check also we pretty much made out entry and gas with a little extra. So mych fun though and I will def be doing it again next year with a little more knowledge on what to expect. I really kicks a guys butt throwing that A-Rig in clear water for 2 days straight. We prob should have just been up a river throwing RCs and SBs all weekend but it was a good time none the less. And have I mentioned how much I hate the WIND!!!!! you had to be in it though to get bit. At least thats what we found...We maybe had 10-12 keepers in 2 days and that many shorts Id say. Tough weekend in all but beats working anyday. -

I would have been sitting high on the hog had I left T.O. in my line up. He was in the very 1st line up I started with..... If I hadn't have changed it 50 times before hand. Lol first fantasy fishing league and its pretty fun. Hope everyone else has fun -
wow jerry, I didnt even know you were thinking about getting rid of your boat. I can attest to his comment about fishing out of his boat, it was a very nice set up and WHEN you get your new one I would love to come along and try out the big boy some time. Hopefully we do a little better next time but thats for another day. LOL If I knew you were boatless this long you would have been welcome with me anytime. Maybe sometime this fall we can get together and get out a day in my boat. Its def not as nice and big as yours but its still an Aluminum Targa and it gets the job done at a slower pace and very small back deck.

Oh trust me, they are here. This is last fall but I continue to get him every now and then all the way through this June so far. Haven't checked in about a month. I've got several hundreds of pics of him

I agree 100% mike, however something like that just won't happen, like everyone else has said, there's just too much $ in it for everyone else. We recently had to make an emergency trip to Campbell Point Marina while fishing, I went inside for the first time and was surprised by the fact there was not 1 piece of equipment in there to accomidate any sort of fishing. Not a single piece of tackle, nothing for the livewells, Nothing at all. It is 100% geared towards the pleasure boaters. There is just too much money in it for them tochanr. And that is bad news for us fishing guys. Gotta get up early for our little piece of the lake!!! JMO

I would go 100% cottonmouth, just judging the way the markings all run together and the entire body running on top of the water. I can assure you if I was in the water I would be 100% on top as well, probally making people wonder why there are 2 people ever known that can walk(RUN) on water.
-
I can assure you They were dress right dress lined up on both decks. Lol by slung around I ment, this was the first time I fished in ketchups Boat ever and we were fishing a night tournament. We had an array of lures on every rod in there. For those of you who also fish at night you know it can be organized kayos at Times. It didn't help that we both came from an he and a half in different direction and got there 5 min before take off bc of job obligations so it was a little hecktic getting things situated at first. Lol all in all it was a great time and I cant wait to attempt it again.
-
I knew I shoulda narrowed a Jersey from someone. Dang it!!! Must looked way to casul! Lol
-
Ok Vernon, so these fish Gods you speek of, do they exist only in TRL bc we were up at Stockton fishing friday night and on the front deck there was about 15 rods and back deck of say I had 6. With tackle for 2 slung everywhere, we managed 4 fish total all night til 1 am with only 1 keep. Where did we go wrong bc I know it looked like we were trying hard!
-
Talk about getting our butts kicked!! Fished with Ketchup friday night out of his boat. Had a great time as it was the first time fishing with him. And as the gentleman I am I had the first keeper pretty quick along with 2 shorts before he had a bite, so I cut the hooks off my baits and waited for him to put one in the live well so I wouldn't show him up in his own boat. You know how that goes, well big mistake, it never happened and we went home without even weighing in. My one barely keep wasn't gonna cut it. Lol
-
Ill be of next weekend if your gonna try to fish that Friday nighter. I might be able to get up there. Let me know and ill see what I can do
-
Nice, beats the heck out of sitting here at my desk weather your catching any or not. Those are sure nice bonuses though!!!!
-
Oh I hear, I can do the easy stuff like Jig or Texas rig with the best of them, Its just figuring everything else out and when to throw what.

Every time I go to a lake to Bass fish it is a new lake to me.....No matter how many times Ive been there. I soppose if I spent more time trying to understand it and focusing on it I would be much better at it. I just find it hard to shy away from crappie/walleye when it puts food I love on the table. LOL Don't get me wrong, I enjoy bass fishing from time to time but I am just not to good at it yet.
