Trolled a 1/4 oz chartreuse minnow and a beetle spin in 20-30 foot in a cove center of the lake. 2 keeper crappie 2 smells, 2 small bass, 1 walleye that got off at the boat. First time trolling in my life, first trip to Stockton ever, 2 channel cat and some bluegill all we've caught the last 2 days, so tonight was great. My nephew had a blast, thanks for all the Intel you all put on here.
I know the preferred method for walleye is to troll but I have never done that before so I am totally clueless as to what to use for a pure, how fast, how deep. 15 ft bass boat, I do have a trolling motor. Usually when I have fished in a boat we fish over brush or against trees back in a cove somewhere. Do most of our catfishing from a lawn chair on the bank somewhere. I have GPS capability to find brush piles. Thanks a bunch guys.
Taking my nephew and some folks fishing for a graduation trip. Never been to Stockton before. New to boat fishing too. Any advice on what is good to fish for around that time, interested in catching just about anything but especially crappie, walleye and catfish. Any help would be awesome, thanks to all.
