  1. Yep. More to the point, fishing reports are what some one else says they did a while ago, and as a host to such a report there would be no need to even fish or even go outside; in fact if you were fishing you would not be there to take my report and pass it on. Your job would be answer the the phone take notes and type it up, then publish it. It could all be done anonymously or under an assumed name or hosted out of India, the report would still be as valid as the info called in.
  2. Did she release it unharmed?

    Just funny stuff

That's got to be fake news, a Pringles can won't hold three hours worth of wine.
  4. I bet they let pickups use it. Why put the car part on the sign? Weight limit should be enough just like it is on highway bridges.

This is what some are flipping over- Toxic Masculinity https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=UYaY2Kb_PKI
  6. Sounds like a fun ride? What's the top speed? Can they just keep hiring new Captains to replace all those that have to use monitors?
  7. I'm not whining about cow drippings in the creek, Carp, just pointing out that if we eat meat it has to poop and stuff runs down hill. Other than get rid of all the meat we can live with the excrement or stop using water.
  8. Buy it or get the Corp to buy it. that farmer owns and pays taxes on the lad the river runs over, he should be able to use that land or be compensated for the loss of it's use.
  9. That slough is a hundred yards from running water and has only been flooded a couple times in the last fifty years. All hamburger and steak pastures drain into some water way. For the sake of clean water we should extirpate all cattle and other meat animals.
  10. My first was a nine inch RR trout, last Monday, the others caught that day were much larger. High water in the warm creeks and two skunks in Capp's Creek, I'm getting a little shack worn. I'm starting to want a drought.
  11. A neighbor was forced by the COE to fence his cows out of an oxbow slough on the basis it might reconnect to the creek in high flood stage. If it's water the Army owns it.
  12. works on chiggers and seedticks too, and kinda cools the itch they cause
  13. about five minutes to two interstates and six or eight minutes to downtown Joplin, it has potential if not interest. The thing is this is done under the table and ready to eat deal or they would not publicize it. Just more stream sacrificed to keep the COE in business.
  14. Well it's a flood here and I'm just as trapped as I would be by 6 feet of snow.
  15. I would find an investor to build multi million dollar industrial park or housing complex there and let the taxpayers buy that out.
  16. No lake is ever needed.
  17. Find a mad tom or two and will shut it down under the ESA.
  18. In other words four times more than needed. Should be some environmentalist that could find at least a couple endangered critters living in those streams. Have they banned car washes and closed down the semi truck wash? if they haven't they aren't in need of more water they just want to take that Federal grant and ti do that they have to build it. Does this need voter approval?

    Never drink and date!
  20. Why is that, do catfish hibernate? or go south for the winter? I've never been a catfisher and I always thought they were there all year. Fact is I had thought winter might be the best time for it; gathering wood and keeping up a fire would give a feller something do while waiting for the nibble. Not have to mess with skeeters and snakes neither.
  21. Can't get there by truck either, so I wouldn't know. That shower shoe/flipflop turned out pretty nice and would probably work for LMB, in children's size.
  22. If I can't get there by truck, I ain't going.

  24. Really not my concern, Daryk. I'm trying to train myself not to butt in or worry about what others do unless it actually concerns me. It is sorta like starting a nail with the hammer in one hand and then changing hands to drive the nail, but the fish don't know the difference any more than the nail does. There is a guy on another forum that posts pictures of himself with his fly reel up and winding it backwards, but, you know he has a post right after that with that same reel and a big fish. No one chastises him on the upside down rod and reel, many are wowed by the big fish. Lot of the older reels you had to close by hand or break something, I don't know about the new ones.
