I was there Thursday working. Didn’t notice a thing. Friday afternoon was called by someone who listened to the answering machine and called emergency contact number. Mine. Gentlemen turned off the valve which was at the leak. No 700’ of line was drained do to the lovely and expensive back flow valves that’s in place. Tanks are completely isolated. There are other valves down the dock for just this situation. They were shut off. Picked up all necessary supplies 7:30 when L and J opened. Used an emergency spill kit with water socks. Changed the line out and it’s still empty. The DNR response team actually came down and commended me on my work. With their report to the Corp, the Corp called to let us know what a great job we done and are really likening the modernization and improvements that are taking place. My only beef with any off this at all is I know the majority of our customers and if you CALL the marina, my number is the first one you hear “In case of an emergency call”. Thanks everyone for your concerns, we are only human and with the lake still going down, which was DNR’s conclusion of the pressure on the pipe, I am trying my best to bring the marina into the future with upgrades. Please, once again, pick up a phone and call me in an emergency. It’s on the answering machine and it’s right here. 417-699-0143. Skeeter I think you already have it. Come down this spring and check out our future plans on removing outdated and bringing in new.
