  1. The green Algie stuff on the water at the bank this year on the lake? Also anyone bass fishing and how is it doing? Cannot seem to get a lake elevation now either. Any one know the level? Thanks
  2. Anybody? I know it is not a advertised lake for Bass fishing. But there has to be some in there that will bite.
  3. Well I just cannot stand it any longer. LEFT Shoulder is feeling some what better. So yesterday I planted Corn, Green Beans, Cucumbers, Carrots. Beets radishes. Picked up Tomatoe plants, Broccoli, cauliflower, Large Jalapeno's Peppers, Sweet Banana Peppers, Squash and several heirloom Bell Peppers. Will not put them in the ground just yet. Well maybe the squash, broccoli and cauliflower next week Sure hope we do not get a frost. Peppers and tomatoe's will go in the first of May this year and not on Mothers Day.
  4. I think you need more rods on the front deck. I am just saying.
  5. Going to give the lake a try for Bass, LM and SM. What would you suggest to use? Depth? Area's? Baits? Kind of mid lake area down to the dam.
  6. Careful.... because you can Zap yourself and piss your pants😂 Did that once and once only. Holey Poop was that bad. But back in the 70's when we had tubes in TV's, I had a bad tube for something in the TV. I reached around the High Voltage Tube that was on the back of the screen. I did not short the High Voltage tube out first. I was 4 ft from the wall and it planted me back to the wall and about knocked me out, when I touched it. I was not right for about 2 hours that day.
  7. Thats not a gar in the last picture. Spoonbill
  8. PSA test in blood work had jump from 4.92 to 7.2 in a year. So they did a MRI w/contrast which show possible cancers in Prostate. Then Biopsy in prostate. Came back 4 spots cancer, 1 real bad in scoring. Then the Petscan w/contrast to see if prostate cancer had sped to other parts of the body. Which it had definitely to 1 lymph node and possibly to 2 other nodes, below bellybutton, because they lit up a little bit in the petscan w/contrast. No pain just was a alert from the bloodwork test of PSA was the indicator. Not sure if I answered your question wrench.
  9. Well went to the Dr yesterday. We evaluated Petscan, Biopsy and MRI all together. He is recommending Radiation and some injections to slow testosterone down, because 4 areas in prostate have the C, 1 has high numbers, 2 lymph nodes may have and 1 under the bellybutton has cancer. All are below belly button . Nothing anywhere else. So the will give me a shot next week then 4 weeks later check PSA and then another shot. Then he will plant 4 gold seeds in the prostate cancers. Half way thru the 45 radiation treatments they will start radiating the lymph nodes also. He said if it was him or his father this is the route he would go. So I suppose I have to trust his experience and knowledge. Anybody here ever study up on this crap? Good thing is, if I want to take off for a few days while getting treated, so I can go fishing I can. Thanks
  10. Well, I am just going to have some R & R. Stick a couple fish and enjoy myself. If I had been able to fish this year, Earlier, I would have thought about fishing the BBT. Never Have fished this one. I use to fish the original Sealy's Outdoors, Big Bass Splash, in Texas a couple time a year, on several of our lakes down there. The best was always on Sam Rayburn for me. Won 11 checks in 7 years on that lake. It is a 3 day, hourly, 8 hours a day and pays out a bunch of places. Pay outs are a lot lot more than KVD and the LOZ one. BIG TIME. I am so looking forward to just going fishing.
  11. Thanks That one I must try. Though I have My own method, which is similar
  12. Darn-it, I sure picked a week that I shouldn't go. But I am going anyway. I got the Fever, because it is my first time out this year. Staying over near Aunts Creek. But always liked the KC Bridge area for fishing. Maybe I will just run up the James Arm instead.
  13. Since I had left shoulder surgery 7 weeks ago. Therapist said as long as I cast with my right arm and set the hook with the same, using left hand reels I can go fishing. I saw there are several large tournaments this coming week end. But I need to get away just to catch some fish. I am not fishing any of those either. Just want to relax and enjoy So I am coming down Thursday. Will be fishing the Kimberling area for 4 days. Any tips? Baits to throw? Areas to target? ETC? would be appreciated. First time out for me this year. YAHOO.

    Prime Rib

How Do you cook your Prime Rib? Low 225* and slow until inside reaches 120* or 350* until it reaches 120*? Do you sear yours before you cook it? Do you dry brine yours the night before? Do you rub it with spices 2 hours before? Do you take it out of refrigerator 2 or 3 hours prior to cooking. Just wondering how you choose to do it. Mine will be done on my Pit Boss.
  15. Use to catch them when we were night fishing for catfish on the Meramac River about 3 miles from the Mississippi River

Went to Aldies this morning and purchased 2 Prime Rib Roast aka Prime Ribeye Roast. Bone in. For 8.99 lb. 1 was right at 9 lbs. cut it into ribeye steaks. The other was 6;32 lbs. Will be my Easter Prime Rib Dinner, on my Pit Boss smoker. With my special rib rub, Sea Salt and seared on the outside just right. medium rare, which is the way prime rib is meant to be eaten.
  23. Can we blame God for that stupidity, or did Man force that ridiculous inbreeding? So now we know what happened to you fishinwrench🤣
  24. If you take the time to brush the dog once in a while it will appreciate it and you will not have to shave the poor pup. I know a couple hillbilly's and they even brush their dog.
  25. I go to a blueberry farm place the middle of June in Farmington MO. I picked 15 lbs last year and they are about gone now.
