  1. what color glows?
  2. Say it isn't so. But we will be there at Truman in Sept. so we should be able to get 1 more meal, w/desserts.
  3. My Hot Pepper plants the deer ate most of them. Those SB's. Cherry tomatoes are the same hugh and producing like crazy and super flavor. Regular tomatoes not so many at all, just not a good year for them. But I will say the regular tomatoes I am getting a very tasty.
  4. Try Viscous Fluorocarbons. I think you will like it.
  5. I had a similar issue with P-Line fluorocarbon line, a couple years ago. Broke off several fish. was new line. switched the line and had same problem, from the same spool. Said that is it. Checked all guides and they were fine. Had not had any backlashes either. Sometimes bad backlashes can cause the same thing. Changed out to all Viscous Line and have never looked back. Been using it now. I will say however that I have had several Large spools of 12 and 15lb P-Line Mono for 12 to 14 years now. I use it for strictly topwater stuff and still to this day have not had a issue with it at all.
  6. I use my food saver to suck the air out and seal. When I flash freeze mine I put wax paper down, then they do not stick to the pan.
  7. It is not just a mexican dish. Most Europeans/Farmers have eaten it since almost before time. I am of German Heritage and ate it quite often when and after growing up. A lot of sausages, blood sausage, tongue sausage, Head Cheese, etc have tongue and head meat in it.
  8. I had the butcher shop I use, order me in last week, a Lengua/Beef Tongue, some people call it A- Licker. Cooked it in the pressure cooker yesterday, for 50 minutes with a bay leaf, red pepper, and some other spices. Let it cool naturally, Peeled the skin off. Sliced it up and made Brown Gravy w/mushrooms in it. Mashed potatoes. and fresh cooked zucchini squash w/tomatoes, onions. garlic, salt and pepper in the skillet. Boy oh boy was it ever good. Now I just finished off a sandwich of tongue and it was even better than last nights dinner. I would eat this any day of the week over roast beef for sure. If you ever had it you know what I am talking about and if you have not, you really do not know what you are missing out on.

I will take a young doe or young buck. over a mature buck or doe every time, for meat. Older ones are for burger and sausage. On a beef. when we raised our cattle, Grandpa would let our beef Grass feed, then finish off by penning them and finishing for 60 to 90 days with sweet oats, corn and alfalfa hay. You want to talk about some excellent meat.
  10. I think the least should be Community service for a long while, Have to pay back any and all winnings/or a heavy fine, Lose of fishing and hunting licenses for at least 5 years. Along with the banning and the butt kicking.
  11. What do you think should be done to these Cheaters. TTO is a very well run tournament in Texas. Both these people fish the High School League in Texas also. I've had a lot of calls regarding the incident that happened at our Eagle Mountain Tuesday Night Tournaments on June 14th when we caught a young man cheating. I want to explain everything that happened and what's happening with the investigation so that there is no misinformation circulated through rumors. On June 14th, I received word that someone found laundry baskets tied together and placed in the water with fish in them. It was early in the day (prior to our tournament) and the game warden was notified but unable to get to the lake before the fish were released by the person who found them. We had no idea who placed the basket but assumed that it might be from someone fishing the tournament that night. Ryan Dusek agreed to wait in the tree line and watch once the tournament started to see who, if anyone, would go look for those fish. Just a few minutes after the start of the tournament, I received word that there was a boat with a young man (unknown who he was at that time) who was looking at the basket. He pulled the basket up and saw that the fish were missing. However, there was a second basket of fish that the game warden (and whoever found the first basket) missed. My guy hiding in the trees was able to video this person pull the basket up and dump the fish into his boat and then he idled out a little ways and began placing the fish on his cull tags and placing them into his live well. Monte Coon and I immediately went to this boat and personally saw him picking up the fish in his boat and when he noticed us, he started throwing the bass back out into the water. I called out to him and then pulled up next to him and confronted him about the fish. He denied cheating and stated that he "just happened to find a basket with bass" and that he was "going to keep them in his live well to release them later back into the water." I requested that he submit to a polygraph, and he refused. I suggested that he dump the fish and leave immediately. Our rules state that anyone who refuses to take a polygraph can be disqualified so I made a decision for the current tournament based on that. I followed up with the game warden who had been notified that same day. She took my information and spoke with everyone who witnessed what happened. For their investigation, we turned over the video and pictures of this guy pulling up the baskets and getting the bass. I let her know his name, Josh Phillips, and that him and his partner, Joe Zimmerman, had placed 2nd in our tournament the week before and drew a check, and may have been cheating then as well. She agreed and started an investigation. I followed up with the game warden later and she let me know that she spoke with both boys and they both confessed to catching the bass the day before and placing them in the baskets for the purpose of cheating in the tournament. She had their confessions, as well as video and picture evidence, so she would be prosecuting them. A couple of weeks later I received a phone call from the game warden to let me know that her captain had requested that she drop all charges. I was confused and she stated that he felt like it would be best to just drop all charges and not prosecute at all since they were minors. I was shocked so I requested a phone call with her captain to discuss the matter, especially since these boys admitted to the cheating and had cashed a check in the tournament the week before. I stood my ground that these boys needed to be punished at some capacity and have some consequences, but her captain refused and told me that they did receive a citation but said that he couldn't disclose what it was for. I just think it's odd that I was told they were going to drop all charges but then the captain said a citation was given to them but couldn't tell me what it was for. I honestly do appreciate everything that TP&W does to protect our resources, but I think that these boys should be held accountable, at some capacity, for their actions I have spoken with other tournament directors in the area and with THSBA but I'm not sure what their decisions will be. As for me and my organization, these guys will never be able to fish any TTO event or anything affiliated with TTO. I think that since TP&W is doing very little, if any, we should at least do all we can to get their names out there and let everyone know the facts about what happened and how they had a deliberate and premeditated plan to cheat.
  12. The last time was a year. Back when I was a guide. I had a person there, design a bass graphic for me, for x dollars, for my Bass Guide service. Then the Canadian step in because he liked it, and bought the rights to it. Him and I went head to head, by emails and by phone. It got very ugly, to say the least as it did with the person that designed it. I post some there sometimes, but not so much any longer. Plus some of the other folks there are real turds in a cult.
  13. I have been removed for a month several times. That Canadian is a piece of. Never mind, do not want to get removed from here also/ Lot of conditions on your boat, Hours on the motor and HP of motor, electronics, trolling motor, size of boat, trailer condition, maintenance,
  14. Probably, I am beginning to think the weather up here is worse than in Dripping Springs TX. At least down there we do not have near the Mold and Humidity. We did make it over a few weeks ago, when the cool front came in, to Lake Egypt. We had a 60 plus fish day. nothing over 3 1/2 lbs though.
  15. Anyone ever fish this lake. We are thinking of making a run over there, the next cool snap we get.
  16. I have received about a 1/2'' of rain as of 11:35 this morning
  17. Same here, been watering crazy in the mornings. I think I will try the sheets on the tomatoe's and a few other crops. I just planted some fall seed stuff, that is popping up already. Planted it Tuesday. Holy Cr@p
  18. This is one of those OKIE's Noodling, 61 lbs Eufaula Cat. I always knew they were crazy.
  19. Are you talking about the guy in the White House again?🤣🤣
  20. What area do you live in? I have a door lock and a deadbolt on my steel door to my shed. I absolutely hate thief's. Why is the sheriff's office not investigating ?
  21. write them all tickets. YA!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I guess you like hot Bell Peppers? Planting Serreno's next to Bells usually produces hot bells. Or they have for me in the past. Cross Pollination.
  23. Anyone fishing the WAP lately. How has the bass bite been doing?
  24. What is the best way to lower PH in soil? I found out yesterday and I was shocked that Bayer Nursery's in Imperial is closing June 30th due to cost and labor. 81 year old family business will be gone. Back to what is the best way to lower PH in Soil? Thanks
  25. There is a old old car and trailer back in a cove at Lake the Ozarks. We found it 2 years ago back towards the back of a cove and there were no houses or roads anywhere to show it was driven in. Have no idea how long it has been there. 13 mile marker area.
