  5. Cow and Horse Poop😁 Maybe some chicken turds also
  6. The Red flag law is dangerous. Anybody can say what they want to say. But if your wife, ex-wife, brother, sister, mother, neighbor, , etc. thinks you may be a danger, because they are mad at you, or just do not like you are guns and report you to authorities, some made up story, they will come and take your guns. You will have to go to court and you may or may not get your guns back. So what are the re=coarse that you have for the person making a false statement. Are the authorities going to go and arrest this person also and prosecute them to the fullest, for making false statements. Probably not. age 18 is not changing from what I have read, but a more thorough look into the teenagers past will be taking place. Like sealed Juvenile records. More mental health programs, this only works if the family is aware, wants to be aware or even around for some people. I know I will never be a SHEEP!!! So the wolfs can come and get me.
  7. Lick Creek, Lower End and Big Indian, All Bass healthy and fought hard.
  8. How many fishing poles are you allowed to use at one time when fishing? I tried to find it in MDC but had no luck. Help appreciated.
  9. Thursday, was a good day bass fishing, We had close to 15 lbs in 5 fish. Caught 11 keepers and only 4 shorts. Friday was a little slower. fished a different area. 5 keepers but only 12 lbs. Saturday 5 keepers was only 11 lbs. All fish caught on topwater and plastics. Good luck fish and be safe. The boats on the week-end up there seem to keep getting bigger and more of them. Some areas were really rough.
  10. I probably out did myself for the year on this recipe find. Made it last night, with my own modification and it was a Hit. No Pictures, but besides being really good it even looks pretty. Tuscan Chicken Ingredients. 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil. I used olive oil because I did not have any extra virgins available. Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 boneless skinless chicken breast. I used Chicken thighs, that I skinned and de-boned. Salt & pepper 1 tsp oregano 3 tbsp butter 3 cloves of garlic minced. I used 3 tsp of minced garlic in the jar. 1 1/2 cups of Cherry tomatoes, halved 3 cups of baby spinach. I used a 1/2 lb of fresh spinach from the store and cut all stems off. Looks like a lot but cooks way down. 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese Portabella mushrooms. I used about 1 1/2 mushrooms that I cut up into 1/4'' thick by 1/2'' wide pieces, then saltated them in butter and set to the side. You could use the sliced mushrooms in a can also. I guess if you do not like mushrooms you can do away with them. Directions In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add chicken and season with salt, pepper and oregano. cook until golden and no longer pink. about 8 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the butter in with the oil and juices. Stir in Garlic and cook until fragrant, about a minute or so. Add sautéed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Cook until tomatoes start to burst, which I assume means soften some, because they are already sliced. Then add spinach and cook until spinach start to all wilt. you have to toss this stuff around in the skillet. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sauce slightly reduced. about 3 minutes or so. Return chicken in the skillet and cook until chicken is heated through 5 to 7 minutes. This goes really well with Rice a Roni-Cheddar Broccoli Rice for the side or you can just put the chicken and sauce all over the top of the rice.
  11. I was not going to mention this, but bullet do and will recache off the water. I know for a fact. Because as a young lad on the farm, some idiot was shooting a 30:06 at gar off a small road bridge 1/3 of a mile from our house and the bullet went thru 3 walls, 2 closets of clothes and then another wall, then stuck in the back of my solid Oak Model Car Cabinet that was anchored to the wall knocking several of my model cars to the floor. My grand dad sure built so nice stuff. The Sheriff did arrest the guy, after my Grand Dad was done with him. We had the bullet for evidence also. And you could see the bridge from our farm house.
  12. Yep have had beaver, good stuff. Racoon Good stuff. Muskrat no opinion.
  13. Tried opossum once, when I was young. all I can say is I would rather eat poop than that again. that stuff was terrible. Cannot really say what I want to say it tasted like on here. But Groundhog may not be to bad since they are in the squirrel family. especially the young ones. But I want someone else to try it first and then let me know how it was. TRUE fully.
  14. I knew you did not need a fishing permit, over 65. But did not know you did not need one for small game. Like I said I had bought a permit anyway. The problem is being resolved. I evidently have a male that has 2 females in the den. Because I have seen as many as 12. They are starting for the garden. Thats where it ends. I am not sharing my food with any of them. And season is open. If anyone wants the meat, let me know. They say there in the squirrel family. I eat squirrels but not groundhogs. They also say that they can climb tree's which I have verified, 2 days ago.
  15. I was wondering the other day, if I wasted my money buying a hunting license, just to shoot Groundhogs. So, my question is did I really need to purchase a license for shooting these rodents?
  16. Like the topic says. Looking to go up to fish, Anyone have any personal experience on the lake lately?
  17. There has to be a way to do this, anyone know how to get rid of to much fertilizer/rich in the soil? Got the report back from the extension. Says everything is over fertilized, some high, some medium. Do not know how that can be as I used only a little bit of 5.-5.-5 when I tilled in the garden this year. I guess I needed none period. PH was high PHs 7.5, Phosphorus (P) 346.0 lbs/A - Excess, Potassium (K) 516 lbs/A - Excess, Calcium (Ca) 5253 lbs/A - High, Magnesium (Mg) 368 lbs/A - Medium. Organic matter - 11.7% I had the Garden soil brought in last year. Was suppose to be 50% compost and 50% bottom topsoil. Crap no wonder my garden is not doing well. They do not tell me how to neutralize it, just says do not fertilize, which I will not. If anyone here has any other good advise, would love to hear it.

  19. JimDog, The wife took it to the MU Extension in Hillsboro. Not sure who she spoke with there. But we took 2 bags of 2 cups of soil from 6 to 8'' deep. Reason for 2 bags was that one was from the 24yards I had hauled in July for the larger garden 16'' deep and the other bag was from 2 raised beds, I did in September. Cost was $20.00 per bag. Dutch, The mixture was Garden soil. 50% compost and 50% topsoil. I did till it in the Fall and then again on the 1st of March. Works really well. Has worms. You still think I should add more Nitrogen? Also worked into the soil Tomato and Vegetable fertilizer in all of the dirt.
  20. Well, I took my soil samples in, Monday. They told me it will be 10 to 14 days before I get the results, so I wait. I know my PH is good, in my test it showed from 6.8 to 7.3 in testing. But I know the garden soil I had hauled in last year (July) is missing something. Crops after seeded or planted stuff just does not seem to want to grow much. This spring, early March when I tilled up the ground, I added manure from Home Depot. I covered the soil with about a 1'' of manure, then, I tilled it into the ground at least 8'' deep. I have had beets, carrots, spinach and onions, all seeds planted since the middle of March and they are only about 3/4'' tall. Beans are growing well from seed. Asparagus and strawberries are all doing well. Tomato's, peppers - sweet, hot and bell, squash, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cucumbers, cantaloupe, and watermelon all seem to not be growing/thriving as should be. from plants, purchased. That is why I think the soil is missing something for sure. Anyone who knows something, have any suggestions?
  21. Looks like a Carp to me
  22. Thanks, I will give it a shot.
