  1. Well none of that came to pass. Daughter found out on Friday that she had been in class at William Woods the week before with several kids who did the spring break orgy thing in Clearwater and then came back to skrewl infested with COVID19. So instead of having fun we did some spring cleaning at home, and I went to the office to retrieve some computer gear so I could get my grouch cave set up for WFH for the next however long it might be. On the bright side, wife and daughter were tested at MU Health Care in CoMO yesterday, and both were notified of negative results today. Wife is back in the office tomorrow - she's a RN at Truman VA. I'm WFH until UM System re-opens the campuses, or until the situation becomes so dire the health system needs IT guys to come in and do laundry, cook for the patients, or wash bedpans.
  2. It's the right time of year for that I think.
  3. Spending the weekend with friends at their house on LOz. Thought I might take the boat, but the weather isn't looking great for that, so I guess I'll just sit on the dock, drink beer, and soak bait all weekend.
  4. I don't see anything from Alweld in .125 either. All .080 or .100.
  5. The chances of finding one that size used are pretty slim I'd guess. My fishing buddy has a 17' WeldCraft that is mod v with a jet tunnel. He bought it new in '95. The only other one like it I've ever seen was an 18 footer that was at the dealership at the same time. If you can find one it will definitely turn better than a flat bottom. I still have to remind myself to pull out of the power before I start a turn with my boat. It likes to slide if I don't let it settle a bit first.
  6. Yep, little boat like that I wouldn't want anything other than a sled hull. Love the mod v on my 2060, but a little boat needs all the float it can get. A guy could get on some really skinny water with a 1452.
  7. Mine has water every time. I add grease until the water bubbles stop. Usually takes about ten squirts.
  8. This pond is our swimming hole, so no pesky little swimmer-nipper bluegills were put in. Except the one that came by accident from the hatchery with the redears, and I fished that fat little toad out as soon as I figured out he was in there.
  9. I'm currently developing a yellow perch/redear sunfish/smallmouth bass pond on my property. Redear went in June of last year, followed by YP in September. Smallmouth will go in this coming September. Water temp hit 48° yesterday. If any of the 8"-10" stocker YP females made it through the winter they should be dropping ribbons any day now.
  10. Great... I had myself convinced that it was just another fake news hoax. Now I'm going to have to go to the walmart. Dang your hide... I hate that place...
  11. When the flatheads start turning down 6" live bluegill I'm going to quit fishing. Until that happens I think I'm good. I've still got hooks/weights/jigs etc. that I bought when the Bargain Barn in Columbia closed 20-something years ago. lol

I don't live near STL, so no, I haven't called those places to confirm. The HyVee gas stations in Columbia have 91 pure dino. So next time you're traveling I70 through CoMO toss your jerry cans in the truck and stock up.

    Sure it is. https://www.google.com/search?q=where+to+buy+ethanol+free+gas+in+st+louis&rlz=1C1GGGE___US568US605&oq=where+to+buy+ethanol+free+gas+in+st&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j33l7.16807j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  15. My youngest son is stationed at Ft. Riley. Every time we visit and cross that bridge over the Kaw I think to myself "I really need to bring the boat next time..."

Yep, and everybody knows that you can't put it on teevee unless it's true.
  17. Nothing says "I'm a giant sandy vag" quite like a touching opus.
  18. My goals are simple. Get fishing whenever and wherever I'm able. Be it in my boat, or my buddy's boat, or from the bank. River, lake, my front yard pond, don't matter. If I'm able to have a fish fry or two along with it, so much the better.
  19. Got there around lunchtime on Saturday and stayed til dusk. Plenty of 48° water ~25kcfs coming through the turbines and bringing mountains of shad with it. Didn't see a catfish. Didn't see a crappie. Didn't see a white bass or hybrid. Didn't see a walleye. Didn't see a spoonbill. Caught 20+ spots/largemouth. Lost count of how many bluegill we caught, but we brought 35 nice ones home and had a fish fry on Sunday.
  20. Bagnell has been running ~30kcfs since Sunday. My boat is home from its winter tune-up. The blues should be biting. I'm going tomorrow. Hope they don't close the spigot. Anyone been down there this week to give a report?
  21. The Mrs. thought I bought the tractor to maintain the driveway, haul firewood, mow pastures, work the garden, etc. But the real reason I bought it was so I wouldn't have to carry gut buckets back to the woods. lol
  22. Well, that's not completely true. There's a creek running through my place and 80% of the time the deer are on the wrong side of it when they get shot. So I drag em to the creek, then tie onto em with a rope and use the tractor to drag em across and out of the creek. Then I put em in the loader bucket and take em to the barn where they get a hose bath before I gut em. But I get your point. lol
  23. I've seen folks on the river below Bagnell in 12' jon boats with electric trolling motors. I wouldn't do it, but I've seen it a lot.
  24. Catfishing on the Missouri River, LOz, and Truman.
  25. It appears that you're misunderstanding quite a lot of things.
