We were gigging a creek here in SW MO the week after Christmas, boys were all in town. We were at least 1/2 mile off road, on private land. The local agent came right on down, across the hay field and through a large ditch and checked us out. He visited a bit and said that he had written 3 tickets in the past month for illegal gigging, so he is making a attempt. We told him that we appreciated the check and his efforts and invited him to the fry(he had to move on cover more ground). Wish I knew exactly where they were gigging those bass.... I have been telling people for years there were hardly any in that creek.....Hmmm! g

I will bring suckers, fish cooker,(wish I had Brett's) taters, hush puppies. Not sure how many folks we will have may need to throw a few trout in the grease..... if someone can catch a few. Will plan on Saturday night.

My PM sent, Peggy and I are planning on coming, if not too cold she will fish, otherwise shop. I will be bringing a boat, so will have at least one open seat. If no water running will either run down to the landing area or wade and fly fish the dam. Plan on bringing the mushrooms & Sausage, cowboy caviar, some desserts and will throw in on whatever else we potluck. Not sure how early we will make it Friday night, depends on our work. Hopefully at least before dark. Terrierman and GotMuddy are planning to be there also. Should be a blast. g

Would have liked to went, but was not aware. I joined last year at Al's presentation at the Nature Center in Springfield. Gave them my info and money, came home with Chucks book, but never heard another word???? Likely there was something else I was to do? g

Well, I do not know. Guess I am just a hick, have caught several that I do not know/remember the names of. I guess one was a trophy, the Captian could not believe I wanted to release it. Caught in 2007, still on the front page of his web site..... As you know I will pretty much go along with most anything ....fishing or eating. I know I have caught several kinds of shark. If there is flounder I will bring more coolers..... I came up in a veer offense, audible is my game.

We actually only have 3 days to fish. I will go with flow.

Think I am usually using down image. Have not got the 480 hooked up yet, may need to test before installing? Have not ran them together. I just need to fish more and experiment. Think I am running the last update... need to check that also. Usually fish 10-30 fow.

Guess I need some lessons, have it set to base settings Doug Vandenberg reccomends on BBC. I can see my 1/16 crappie jig on the 480 but on 798 might see it fall but usually lose it. Nice picture, but not impressed with sensitivity. May have it set wrong? Or just not smart enough to use it right.

I did watch your video and noticed that.I am in the process of reinstalling my 480 up front right next to the 798, Can not see my jig on the 798 bird but can on the 480 or 320. Trolling motor is going to be a bit crowded with transducers.... Enjoyed the video Thanks Bo!
