  1. Anbody that's ranting and raving stop to think what it would cost to process 4,000 hogs? Feel free to start donating the cash to do so.
  2. Not yet. But getting closer.
  3. It doesn't bother me a lick. I don't think it makes them look any bigger. That bottom pic I don't even consider long arming. But some do.
  4. Other than the fact that because the MDC immediately set forth a plan to combat these issues kept it at a bare minimum and not a large catastrophe. And their ongoing work keeps it at a minimum.
  5. My blue Ford is for sale. It's a good truck but the son has roughed it up a little. I just got it inspected but I haven't tagged it.
  6. It's a super nice river fish. I just was thinking of the fish I posted and Gavin giving me grief and my arms weren't anywhere near as straight out.
  7. Oh trust me, there are some things they do that leaves me shaking my head. One of them is the managent practice at Shawnee Trail. It was a vast track of native prairie land. Many years ago it was decided to manage it for Dove hunting. Extremely large tracts of it were plowed up and planted with row crops. What few prairie chickens that were left in this area have over the last few decades of disappeared. and there is now in areas that have not been plowed lots of it with a vegetation taking over. I know of one that research scientist from the department that flew over the area with the then current director and was also expressing his displeasure her with how it was being managed. That director was completely uninterested and the talk of this area was quickly squelched. On many occasion I have expressed my displeasure with this practice. Finally somebody has come to their senses. They are now going to eliminate a lot of the row crops being grown there turn it back to past year and graze cattle on a rotation basis. That will mimic back to the times of when the bison wrong the prairies. This is definitely a move in the right direction finally. But I've also heard is going to take 15 years to fully implement. I didn't like that part but at least we are headed in the right direction. And I don't necessarily disagree with you about smallmouth regulations. I would like to see something a little more restrictive state wide. I still think the 4 fish under and one fish over 15 on all black bass combined on streams is the best route. But I also understand their position on it. The science backs up that there are healthy populations of fish over 15 of all three species in all streams. But back to the point of this discussion. You can hunt all the hogs you want on private property. The NDC manages less than 2% of the total acreage in the state of Missouri. If taking out that 2% is a burden on your hunting then I don't know what to tell you.
  8. I didn't know wrench had a brother
  9. Not me. But if I ever lose count, I just lift the stringer.
  10. Take things too far? Cracker please! I think it has more to do with your sensitivity. Man has never and will never enhance nature. Only nature can do that. Man only detroys it.
  11. And not one comment about those stretched out arms. The boys are slipping.
  12. Yeah because Nature being Nature is not right! We need to kill all of the predator bullies! We need more Walt Disney and less Wild America!
  13. If it was true that hunters can do more for hog control on public ground, then why haven't they? If it was true, we wouldn't have the problem we have now. But the fact is the MDC trapped and destroyed just shy of 4,000 hogs last year and are on target to meet or exceed that number this year. How many have you two shot this year? Last year?
  14. Farm Bureau calls that government overreach. They think it costs landowners too much to conserve.
  15. Dang!!
  16. Well it is beef. Maybe.
  17. I've never tasted curry anything. I am intrigued with it though.
  18. I just don't have sophisticated taste.
  19. Hey canned tamales are not bad when properly dressed with shredded cheese, a good chipotle salsa, and a good hot sauce.
  20. Not really. Im actually making homemad onion rings for my son and his friends. A friend of mine just dropped off a couple of guns I had him looking at. So I've been kinda busy.
  21. I doubt you were very busy anyway. You were killing time nosing around here.
  22. Hey I love that song! i thought it was done very well. Very catchy. Very folksy. Makes you sing along.
  23. I said the same thing!
