  2. He’s not fibbing.... I am pretty sure I know that stretch-best big fish spots on that drainage...double hard to get a 20 when it’s a neosho strain...always used a float tube in a stream, can’t cover much water but stealth is amazing fish just come right up too you...most people hit the holes but fish feed in the shallow fast stretches between holes, water might be 15” deep, but fish will be there, rebel craws, tiny torpedoes, baby spooks, and at night black jitter bugs, want a heart attack? Big smallie blasting a top water at night!

  6. It’s a blast, popping bugs and gill are classic, spent many a day tubing a Kansas pit chasing big uns Weeds?
  7. Crickets rock for gills and small mouths for some reason always caught some dandy ones gilling
  8. Post spawn for sure
  9. Also fish deeper the bigger gills will be deep 10 or deeper sometimes way deeper, toddlers don’t last long deeper
  10. If you want monsters pits in SE Kansas have a crack at fish over 2# most days you will have they place to yourself
  11. Try bluff banks near lay downs tube jigs tipped with a piece of crawler or wax worms flat banks with finer sand or gravel you might get a few, but gills are vulnerable there Big flatheads will stalk areas where gills bed also if you tie your own jigs, squirrels tail with a hot pink head 32 nd size 1/16 weight
  12. Thoughts I’d share this video of Alan Blair on a family fishing video, like to see more of this kinda think here in the states quality time outdoors with the kids
  13. Here is the published abstract ”A valued food-fish for centuries, they are now a prized sportfish as night bowfishing has become a million-dollar industry in the past decade. All harvest is virtually unregulated” https://www.nature.com/articles/s42003-019-0452-0
  14. Just find a bfer dump or two and you can get plenty of fish to sample, granted the reports are anecdotal, but buff numbers on LOZ seem to be down since the growth of bfing, there are some studies that show a correlation of fished down populations being more susceptible to the Asian carp invasion, ( bighead, silver, grass, black) when buffalo and common carp Blue catfish garfish populations are reduced. A void develops... nature abhors a void and will fill it
  15. At one time the Missouri and Mississippi River supported huge fish historical records of blue cats commonly over 150 as far as buffalo fish they said the same thing about bison Yes you kill the fish extracting that ear bone, you can expect some limits on harvest because of these studies, black buffalo are a species of concern in Oklahoma yet they get pounded by the bfers, they will be gone there before it gets fixed,
  16. I think booze may have been involved
