Great idea for a start-up !! Hope they can help out Anglers who own one of the "Obsolete" (per Lowrance) older units that Lowrance frequently gives-up on, refuses to repair and forces the consumer to buy a new unit.

Table Rock Buoy Removal and Massive Boat Wakes

You might find it interesting to read this article on the subject and especially the two posts in the "comment" section accompanying the article. If you have strong feelings on this subject maybe you'd like to add your two cents too ? http://www.news-leader.com/story/news/2017/09/19/blunt-asks-corps-halt-proposed-shoreline-revisions-table-rock-lake/682876001/ -
Same here out where Little and Big Indian enter the White by Baxter Marina. The entire Lake, no I'm not exaggerating, was covered in every direction with schools of Shad two days ago after 5 P.M. and there was zero sign of anything chasing or feeding on them. I kept waiting and waiting to see something feed on them and it never happened. It's been a while since I've seen that many schools on the surface all at once. And they stayed up until a little bit of wind made them hard to see for about 20 minutes and when it died down and the water got glassy-flat again, they were still there until the Sun went down over the furthest ridge.

Table Rock Buoy Removal and Massive Boat Wakes

There are several reports coming in from areas in Florida about enhanced damages to large, industrial roofs that had Solar Panels installed vs. those adjacent sections that didn't. One Miller/Coors beer distributor in Ft. Myers recounted how his employees who had no where else to go were sheltering in his warehouse when sections of the roof that they had Solar Panels installed on started ripping off in the high winds. He moved them over to a another section that had no Panels on them and the roofing there stayed intact. Not until after the storm had passed did they realize what sections of the roof were destroyed. He later posted that his Insurance Adjuster was finding the same results in other areas and an investigation was certainly going to be conducted. "Multistate MillerCoors wholesaler, J.J. Taylor, has facilities throughout the state of Florida. As we reported last week, the distributor had established a communication plan well ahead of time to account for employees. But of course, nothing can prepare one for a storm of this magnitude. "We went out front early, had really good communication the with whole staff, and I think that paid off," principal John J. Taylor III told BBD. "We had over 150 people -- employees families -- at both Fort Myers and Tampa." He says everything was going along swimmingly in Fort Myers -- "until solar panels started ripping off the roof and taking big chunks of roof with it." It was a brand new building addition, to boot. " "But we got people into the part of building that didn’t have solar panels," John said. "All of our employees that we can reach have been accounted for." -
And that's exactly why I won't eat Agent Orange Catfish from Nam at any of those joints. We've stopped patronizing any of those restaurants. There are still plenty of American Catfish Farmers to buy from but the contaminated crap that is raised/fed on god-knows-what from Nam is always cheaper.....and not good for you. Catfish Cabin in Eureka Springs prides itself on serving only U.S. raised catfish. Always check the origin of the catfish you consume and reject the junk from SE Asia. Recently, the USDA has discovered those imported fish are loaded with Antibiotics that the growers use in large quantities.

Exactly my thought. Rather than spend some outrageous amounts of money (probably from some tax-supported, ding-a-ling Government "grant" ) trying to raise and sell a game-fish, go cast your nets in the Mississippi, Missouri or Illinois Rivers and take all you want of the Silver and Bighead invasive Carp. Or...even better tasting....raise Bluegill to the size where you just put the whole fish in a meat grinder and then deep-fry the results which cooks out all the scales, bones and other undesirables.

Not sure because I haven't been on that Ocean (LOZ) since about 1999 but aren't the typical Wake Boats too small to be on that churned-up Lake ? The really large vessels that routinely operate up there don't seem to be operated by those types seen in most, not all, of the Wake Boats around here.
-
With ever-increasing numbers of incidents involving the safety of young swimmers in the water being threatened by these Wake Boat operators, you know it's just a matter of time before a serious incident occurs and its all going to be caused by the lawlessness and "I own the Lake" attitudes routinely displayed by this class of boat owner. Either someone in the water is going to be run over or a fed-up citizen is going to respond with violence. When it occurs, and sadly, it eventually will, only then will there be a huge outcry about these inconsiderate jerks.

Just a couple of years ago I read an article on high-performance Sunglasses. It stressed the importance of NOT using spray-on eyeglass cleaning-fluid on them due to the stuff's tendency of removing different kinds of coatings the Manufacturers place on those high-dollar lens surfaces. Don't know if that is still true but on my Maui's and Costas I will only rinse them in water, sometimes with a little soap included but only a mild soap like Ivory, and then dry them on a Terry-cloth towel.

Most Attorneys will include as many parties as possible so....organizers, participants, MO Highway/Water Patrol for the permit....etc. etc. You'd think that incredible amount of dock damage would unite LOZ shoreline Property Owners and incite them to form a group pursuing compensation for their losses. If only people would stick together they could put and end to this type of irresponsible property-damage not only on LOZ but elsewhere. One thing for sure, if these docks are Insured, any Insurance Co. Underwriter with a brain will greatly increase the Premiums for LOZ Dock-Insurance once these claims start rolling in and the identical date of when the losses were incurred all points to the date of this Shoot-out thing ! -

Sounds like an opportunity for a hungry Attorney to file a lawsuit ! $10M in property damage ? Charity or not (which needs to be audited ) that event is a public nuisance and that amount of damage proves it. -

The "Shoot Out" ( which is now televised across Missouri in major markets ! ) is a single boat at a time running for top speed past a radar gun. LMAO while watching it when numerous boats with ginormous engines could only attain top speeds in the 50mph range when accelerating from a partially on-plane start over a 3/4 mile course. $200 Entry fee and an additional $50.00 for each subsequent, "timed" pass ! The organizers eliminated Bass Boats from competing by having the rule state "nothing with a hull shorter than 22 feet. ( Guess the high-dollar, loud-boat, owners didn't want to be embarrassed) I can't say for sure exactly when all that ridiculous wake-caused water was in the picture....just assuming (?) it was taken when all the lined-up spectator boats left the area at the end of the event from where they ran the "shoot-out". -
After about 15 minutes or less, they'll be too busy trying to help the teensy, on-board bilge pump by frantically bailing with anything they have handy just to stay afloat. And that's not limited to just the Dam area !

Some years ago, the Water Patrol on LOZ was equipped with "decibel meters" (hope that's the correct term ) in an effort to control the ungodly noise levels from all the straight-exhaust, multi-engine show-off boats there. Apparently, the Patrol on TR has none or won't use them. Now, in addition to the show-off boats, we have the noise-loving boat owners with the "Captain's Call" engine exhaust that can bypass the underwater, through-the-hub exhaust at the flick of a switch so they can let everyone know they have an engine in their vessel and can annoy everyone with it. More inconsiderate jerks ! -

Don't know if you're aware that B. Long bought an older lakefront home off Hwy "H" in the Lampe area this Winter to somewhat re-hab it and is currently trying to "flip" it for a wholly unreasonable price that only a moron or someone indirectly hiding a large contribution to his campaign ( oh my goodness, who would be unethical enough to do that ?) would buy for the asking price ! -

They are sneaky, underhanded S.O.B's. that only want to "save Table Rock" for the express purposes of more development, larger docks/slips for more even bigger boats, and more ginormous, high-dollar homes that they can sell to collect their huge, undeserved commi$$ion$. -

Anyone else lay eyes on the enormous off-shore racing type boat parked in front of Harter House earlier this week ? It must have been at least 45' long and was so big it needed to be towed by a rig suitable for over-the-road trucking but with a work-body on it. Yeah, we really need another show-off, look-at-me boat like that around here. At least when it's up on plane it won't throw quite as big of a wake as these plowing wake-boats do. -

But not a word about the massive boat wakes that are so dangerous to everyone....it was brought up at every meeting according to what I have heard but is being ignored. -
Mizzou Administration knuckling-under to these numbskulls was horrible. Remember the center of the protest who did a hunger strike was later exposed as the Son of the VP of Sales and marketing for the UP RR in Omaha and Daddy pulls down a cool $8 Million a year and was a very frequent "commuter" to the protests/riots going on in Ferguson about 100 miles away Oddly, there was never any concrete proof of the guy's claims of being yelled at with insults from a passing vehicle (no witnesses on a very busy campus ) and the claimed swastika drawn in a bathroom was never even pictured in this day of everyone carrying a camera on their cell phone. Always thought swastikas were anti-Semite, not racist. And then we had Melissa Click But, the lack of attendance at Football and Basketball games was largely because both teams were....less than good ! Basketball should be vastly improved this year...football....yet to be decided.

If you recall, they stocked Steelhead in Taney in the 70's. Caught a few.

Yeah, I think a lot of people equated GPS with Radar and I hope that error has corrected itself.

If it had been "a Skeeter owners tournament" you would not have found me participating. Tournaments are not why I fish and you couldn't pay me to get involved in one. Ooopsie, I think you're a Ranger owner....certainly wasn't bashing Ranger boats....just the idiot organizers.
-
My Dad (b. 1901) always said that if Bluegill/Sunfish regularly grew to 5 lbs., it wouldn't be safe to swim in fresh water.

Kinda' reminds me of the time a few years back when the Ranger-owner Tournament organizers turned the Ranger mob loose during a very heavily fogged-in morning despite the almost zero visibility conditions. We left our slip in the Baxter Marina in our ZX210C Skeeter under trolling motor power only and stayed close to the launch-ramp bank which we could just barely make out only 1 & 1/2 cast-lengths away, and expecting no success but it beat just sitting around, we continued down along the bank to the super-shallow COE campground point waiting and hoping for the fog to lift. Suddenly we began hearing high speed boats zooming past headed up the two Indian Creeks and listening very closely for any incoming. We gradually made out this other near-by boat floating just off the same shallow point and were finally able to determine there was a camera-guy with one of those large shoulder-carried video cameras standing in the stern pointing the camera at us. Laughed our rear-ends off when you could hear the disgust among the three guys in the camera-boat when they could finally make out the six inch high "SKEETER" on the side of our boat. We found out they had launched at Baxter and were there to video the various Ranger-driving entrants. When we asked them who the consarned, total NITWIT was that had turned all those boats loose in the heavy fog we got the reply "well....they all are equipped with GPS and that makes it safe " !!!!
