  1. I fly all the time. Airport security is a breeze. All you have to do is listen and follow their directions. But I see people all the time that struggle with it because they don’t or won’t. I hate these people because they are the ones that make it harder for everyone else. I have a knee that’s been operated on about 47 times. No extra hardware but it is almost twice the size of the other. They always want to check that out. Even that only takes a few seconds.
  2. Fire is good
  3. Yep. I've never been fishing during the snow when it wasn't crazy good. Don't know what it is but fish like the snow.
  4. But I understand that some people are terrified to fly. In August I had a guy drive 14 hours one-way to attend a training class.
  5. In the last 10 years (2008-2017) only 3,788 people have died in aircraft accidents world wide. In that same time period 346,627 people have died in motor vehicle accidents in the USA alone.
  6. You haven't given us one legitimate bad reason, other than what SB is doing. Work is a good reason. Travel is a good reason. Fishing is an awesome reason. There was a time I drove to Lake Fork about every other Friday night just to fish on Saturday. Woke up Sunday and either fished a half day or just drove home so I could be at work on Monday. That might have been ignorant but it wasn't a bad reason.
  7. The yellow is not lemon flavor.
  8. Now we are getting to the real issue. Go ahead and lay back on the couch and tell us how that makes you feel.
  9. 😄 I have no idea how many cars I passed today, not many since I only live 3.5 miles from my office. But very few were probably delivering anything and even fewer were a Silverado. I'm just saying that there is a lot more of it going on than what we probably think. I used to put 50 to 60k on a vehicle each year. And I wasn't delivering anything. But I had to be in those locations to do my job.
  10. And delivering 800 million dollars worth of materials each year is not??
  11. Not all of them. Some are out there in F150s. Some in huge vans, or FedEx type trucks, and yes some smaller trucks too. But the point is there are people doing it all over the country. Our old buddy Cricket drives one and is putting hella miles on it.
  12. Our company has hundreds of trucks on the road everyday delivering the products that people need to complete their jobs. It's happening all over the world, except in one 5 county area apparently.
  13. Lots of miles are put on work vehicles. Some things have to be done in person thankfully.
  14. It wasn’t biologists that made the ignorant decision. It was the fishing industry that made the push. Remember when companies like Simms quit making felt soles boots.
  15. MDC aren't the only ones that were wrong on this. But they should correct it.
  16. I don't know about pickups but I do drive a lot of different SUVs and cars when traveling. I'm 6' 2" and the weight of a couple of people and won't get into anything Ford. In those vehicle classes they either have no room or just aren't as comfortable as their foreign counterparts. A Miata?? Yeah most midgets wouldn't fit. Try to squeeze yourself into a Focus. Same problem. My company car is a Camry. Very comfortable. Even though I don't prefer driving cars it is free so I can't complain. For comfort the best SUVs I have driven are Hyundai. That's how my wife ended up with one. Much more room and comfort than her Jeep. Isn't in the shop as much either. Cars? Kia Optima. But every time that I hit the rental place I try something different if I can.
  17. Nobody loves these gadgets as much as I do but just because you can do something doesn’t make it better. We did a study on that for a computer science project in school which was pretty entertaining. And if you want to see her yelling at me you can stop by anytime.
  18. My wife’s new ride doesn’t have a key, just a fob. So you carry the fob in your pocket and you can unlock/lock/start without taking it out. Yesterday we are at Lindenwood University and of course in a big hurry. Everyone is outside of the car and I pushed the button on the door to lock it but it wouldn’t lock and kept beeping at me. I looked through the window and on the instrument panel it said there was no key in the vehicle. Well no-monkey dodo-Sherlock it’s outside with me. So the car is yelling at me, my wife is yelling at me to hurry, and nothing is working. I finally had to get back in, start the car, put it in drive, put it back in park, turn it off, get out, and then lock the door. Technology is wonderful until it doesn’t work.
  19. I disagree, but that's not a knock on Al. He has found the best method for him. Period. That's it. You can spend all you want on one of his lures but you will never be able to equal him in fishing it. Fishing is so much more that lures and equipment.
  20. GM didn’t sell any myth about lights being on all the time. Don’t give them that much credit. It was fleet managers that determined that and insurance companies that backed it up with real data. Manufacturers just capitalized off of it.

    What's Cooking?

Me, my dad, and a couple of his buddies were headed to Stockton one morning to fish. We stopped and ate breakfast and one of dad's buddies picked up the tab. While he was paying my dad walked up and stuck a biscuit in the pocket of this guys sweatpants. Supposedly in case he needed a snack later. Of course he was kind enough to butter it and cover it with honey first. These were my mentors.
  22. I like that thinking!
  23. I don’t necessarily disagree with you. But that protection should not be solely based off of what tournament anglers want because that’s where the cash comes from. When we have to answer to the stock holders about the bass population then we’ve created an issue. And actually a bass is way more important that all that other crap. It’s a living species. It’s life shouldn’t be based on profit margins.
  24. And that's the problem with bass fishing right there.
  25. Sorry I wasn't trying to make it sound like you did. But a lot of people do. And I have no negativity towards stocking fish. Fill it full. But that's going to take some time to accomplish that task if you ever do. However there are things that can be done now to make it better but nobody wants to hear that.
