  1. Well I hope he get's caught doing it because that is illegal and childish. No reason to blame one fish for your lack of ability to catch another.
  2. I've got a G Loomis with an old junk pflueger that cats it like a dream. I think it's more in the rod than it is in the reel.
  3. Yeah it was all one guys fault. I seem to remember companies leaving before anybody ever even knew who he was.

    What's Cooking?

Tonight I'm doing a real delicacy. Going to start with some beef and cook it to perfection. Once that's ready I'll add the seasoning sauce. It will them simmer while I prepare the potatoes. The potatoes are shredded and then pressed into the shape of a cylinder approx. 1/2 in diameter and 1 inch long. These will be cooked to a crunchy golden brown. Then all you have to do is place the meat on a bun and select your potatoes. I don't have any pictures but I like to call this one sloppy joes and tater tots. MMMMMMMM good.
  5. Depending on where the water temp is, or was, it could be really good. I'm glad they have some weather to deal with. I don't have a pick but I'll enjoy seeing the results.

    What's Cooking?

I'm merely an employee of the family. I feel honored that the Queen and Princesses allow me to live there.
  7. You might feel that I'm too young but it's been a long time since the 50's. Nothing works that way anymore. The biggest problem for any of these companies is when they go public. After that it's all about the profits, no matter the cost.

    What's Cooking?

Of course I did. I cooked it for four lovely ladies so they sure as hell weren't going to clean it.
  9. When did Walmart ever say that? I know I bought a camera in one of their stores in 1986 and I don't think anything had changed since then. It's impossible for any business to be successful selling only American made. In a country that demands low prices and huge profits it will never happen.

    What's Cooking?

Well I made Valentines dinner for all my women last night. Nothing fancy. Chicken Fettuccine, Spaghetti, Blackened Italian Sausage Fettuccine, breadsticks, and a monster salad. And I made one hell of a mess in the kitchen.
  11. Those are nice! I've always like the dished out face type of slider. The other ones that just look like a turned around popper work they just don't move as well.
  12. Seriously?
  13. Well I think that those that do have jobs should buy it for those that don't.
  14. LOL
  15. I like it.
  16. Hey if it's good enough for the Super Bowl MVP it ought to be good enough for these kids.
  17. Dear Ness, Thanks for your inquiry on full nude glamour shots of yourself for your wife's valentine's gift. I am sorry but I will have to decline no matter the money being offered. Seriously I promised Amery that I would do a photo tutorial on it and I'm about halfway there with that. So as soon as I have that done it will make more sense. But to help until then the black/blue is a little different from the olive. The black/blue has a body of rabbit fur. That was a mistake. I thought it would help build up the profile but that's not necessary. And it makes it very heavy, which it doesn't need any help with. The tail of these is just some hackle tied in flat wing style. I do add a dubbing body but that's as much for building up the shank to tie the legs to as much as anything. This keeps them from flaring out too much. And then I add some hackle behind the eyes to help push the legs back.
  18. Which is better? The cut ZinkerZ or the Finesse TRD? Besides the ZinkerZ be about 12.5 cents per bait cheaper.
  19. I with Al on the fact that I always try to get them to come up. Sometimes so much that it's the only thing I try. Did that a couple of years ago on a little creek that Chief took me to. I'd get a swipe here and there but nothing would connect. Tried many different poppers. Finally I put on a pig and it was game on. But I don't always fish it right in the bottom. Does just as well swinging in the current as a streamer.
  20. Brandon I sent you an message on some spots you can try.
  21. As my dad used to tell me, "You aren't going to catch any fish running up and own the lake all day." Yeah I didn't pay any attention to him either. But this time of the year you can catch all the fish you need between Lightfoot and Bolivar landing. They aren't biting any better on the other side of the lake you just have to figure out where they like to eat. There are a lot of spots that hold good fish all the time in that section, and there are a lot of spots that don't. Secondary points are going to be way better than any main lake stuff. Jerkbaits, crankbaits and a jig should get you a pretty good sack. Look for the sweet spots, the holes, the ditches. That's where they will be. This lake will not fish like the clear water lakes, it's a completely different experience.
  22. Thank you Jim.
  23. Oh how I miss the farm ponds of southern Oklahoma. The ones that I fished never had a problem with anyone overfishing them. Most of the time they had problems with stunted fish because people didn't keep enough. But these were ponds that were heavily patrolled by the farmers and their crew. If you didn't have permission you were going to be in serious trouble. I like fishing the smaller creeks just because I always have enjoyed it. You can run into waters that are overfished but it seems like all of these streams have areas that are extremely difficult to access and that is where you are going to find what you are looking for. But I don't have to catch a "trophy" smallmouth every time I go to call it a successful trip or a great creek. Many more important things to enjoy that don't require breaking out a ruler.
  24. What area of the lake are you fishing for your tournament?
  25. Pretty sure the gauge is just upstream from Crighton.
