Not so funny story, but this guy actually became the reason for an investigation at the O'Reilly Auto Parts corporate offices when he disappeared.
Supposedly, someone found it in a stairwell and released it to the wild next to a tree outside. I was supposed to believe that it made it out of the tank, across the floor of my office, out the door and about 50 feet to the end of the department. Out another door and down a big flight of stairs. All without being noticed, getting stuck to the carpet, or wondering into any of the other offices in the department. And it took my trash can with it because that was the only other thing missing. BS. Some bleeding heart pulled it out of the aquarium and put it in the trash can. Then they released it in the field next door to save it, ultimately signing it's death certificate. And that folks is what you call an idiot.
I was given an official apology by the company and a gift certificate to take my family to dinner. Not bad for a mudpuppy that some fisherman on Lake Fork gave to me. I only brought it back to show my kids and they came up with the idea to put it in my office aquarium.
