You get it figured out and you can pretty much run wide open through all of this. But man you are going to be passing some of the best spots on Stockton. I could spend the rest of my life fishing that bottom map.

It’s been many years but I’ve made the run from the state park to the CC area several times. It’s farther than 20 miles and includes many dangerous obstacles. It’s not just a ride down the lake. And if you get down there and the wind picks up it’s a hell of a ride to get back. If you want to fish around CC then unload at CC. Mutton Creek works too, that’s where I usually went, but again you have to be careful of the obstacles. Once you learn where to run it’s not bad but you can’t just go running down the lake.

Geez you guys need to get out. I bet nobody cares as long as you got there in a boat from the lake. My 15 year old daughter can read a map. I didn’t teach her that. And she’s not a big outdoors person. I think you guys think you are smarter than you really are.

I fished a tournament years ago with a friend and head him leaking into the lake. I jokingly asked what he was doing and he said it was his fish call. Not a dozen casts later he put a 6+ in the boat that was good enough for bigbass and pushed us into first place. -

I mostly fly fish when I’m down there but a Johnson Sprite spoon is a pretty fun bait to fling from the beach and it will catch anything. Find some cuts and you will get plenty of action. -

Went with a buddy a few years ago to pick up a big box of "farm raised" catfish. He got the scoop from a local restaurant on where to get it. It was very good. And it said farm raised right on the box. Right under that it said it was a product of Korea. You don't know where those farms are, and you can't even be sure it's catfish. But it was delicious.
