How else can you prove your hunting success on social media??? P.S. - I don't hunt. I'm not against it, but it's not for me anymore.

I know you were asking OTF but I will say that I never worked in the field of mine, never even attempted to. But I also don't think I would be where I am without that experience.

Starting to sound like a food source issue. Seems like someone else made a post awhile back about not seeing as much shad. And I know that was never an issue in the past.

I'm not doubting what Moflash is saying. If that's his experience then that's his experience. And I believe it. But in my experience it has not changed. Now in all honesty I don't fish the lake like I did in the late eighties, early nineties. And haven't fished it much at all in the past 3 or 4 years. But I never saw a decline when I did. It seems like it has always produced at times and not at others. No different than any other lake that I have been on. As far as it getting worse when they started taking out water for Springfield? Well that's just BS or a weird observation. I fished it all the time before and after and it never made a difference. Mainly because they rarely pump any water out for Springfield.

I started in a float tube and fished like that thru most of high school. Then went to a bass boat and thought that was it. Now it's canoes and kayaks. Maybe as I get older I'll go back to a boat but I'm not in any hurry.

I never said they can. First they were smart enough to get jobs where they didn't make minimum wage. Second they do get assistance from their parents. They also got scholarships. Not for being good with balls but for being hard workers and intelligent. There are tons of scholarships out there to be had if you try. And lastly they do have some student loans. And poorer kids have better options than mine. I know because I am friends with a bunch of them. All I'm saying is that if you want an education then you can get one. Will it suck for a few years? Yes. I know this because I lived it. Worked six days a week with a wife and kid at home and went to school at night. If I can do it then anyone can. I was the 1st in my family to pull it off and I had zero financial support from parents, scholarships, or anyone. I did it all by myself. So did my wife. I'm not saying it's perfect but nothing is. If you want it you can make it happen.

I'm not just talking the schools. There is a lot of money made off of college sports. Money that the schools nor the athletes are entitled to. It's the reason I'm not a college sports fan.

If only education would get the same support as college sports.

That's how I did it. It's how my wife did it. It's how my oldest daughter did it. It's how my middle daughter is currently doing it. I see nothing wrong with paying for your own education. Where we have made mistakes is pressuring every kid into believing that they need a degree from a university. Tne you get kids going to school that have no idea why they are there or what they want to be. Anybody that runs up a 100K bill for education wasn't intelligent enough to be in college in the first place.

I don't think that any of them think that it will, but be prepared for them if they accidently do. They are pretty excited about getting to play at Mizzou. Even offering to take any student that wants to go to the game for free. Mizzou wins but it should still be a good time for everyone.

I grew up fishing from a float tube. I think I was around 6 when my dad started taking me. I had to spend a couple of years tethered to his until he set me free. Great way to fish.
