  1. Insurance is the biggest scam in American history. Modern day mob.
  2. Just change your tampon and move on.
  3. Right back at ya buddy Merry Christmas to you and Pat.
  4. I assume it’s much harder to make the tungsten heads? Seems anyone can melt lead and pour a head. Does tungsten melt as easily as lead?
  5. Nice looking jigs Mitchell. Back in the early 90's I would have went through those black and blue ones with a No. 11 pork on Pomme de Terre. Back then I bought all my jigs from a guy out of his garage.
  6. That's how we did it in Oklahoma.
  7. One of these years I have to make that trip. I'm not very good at trout fishing but I'd like to hang out and take a bunch of pics and video.
  8. Well on the two streams this thing gets used on as long as you can cast 15 feet you are good. On bigger water it’s usually an 8wt.
  9. Oh he knows he can cast a hell of a lot better than me.
  10. Have you tried casting lessons?
  11. Super cool spot to give it a try too.
  12. I think it's cool. Not much smaller than my 3wt and I'm blown away by how well it casts.
  13. Wrench just probably left his tailgate down and it bounced out.
  14. It's extremely rare that I fish the same fly more than once. I might lose it or leave it on a rod for a few trips, but once I cut it off to change flies, it's probably never getting tied on again. I know that's weird but it's the way it is. For that reason, I don't worry about longevity too much. I'm not saying my way is correct or even intelligent, it's just the way that it is. I have zero head cement at my house. And just recently bought my first UV resin. I have issues.
  15. But it doesn't require UV resin. You can do the same thing with epoxy or just head cement. I don't use head cement or really anything else most of the time. But I do like UV resin for some things just because it is quick. It has it's place but it's never been required.
  16. You can do the same thing with a glass bead and some epoxy. No safety pin or UV required. But it would probably be a whole lot easier with UV resin.
  17. Nope. Didn’t start until I quit tournament fishing and was looking for a different way to target river smallies. I don’t have much use for trout. I prefer the black bass family over all other things.
  18. Not so funny story, but this guy actually became the reason for an investigation at the O'Reilly Auto Parts corporate offices when he disappeared. Supposedly, someone found it in a stairwell and released it to the wild next to a tree outside. I was supposed to believe that it made it out of the tank, across the floor of my office, out the door and about 50 feet to the end of the department. Out another door and down a big flight of stairs. All without being noticed, getting stuck to the carpet, or wondering into any of the other offices in the department. And it took my trash can with it because that was the only other thing missing. BS. Some bleeding heart pulled it out of the aquarium and put it in the trash can. Then they released it in the field next door to save it, ultimately signing it's death certificate. And that folks is what you call an idiot. I was given an official apology by the company and a gift certificate to take my family to dinner. Not bad for a mudpuppy that some fisherman on Lake Fork gave to me. I only brought it back to show my kids and they came up with the idea to put it in my office aquarium.
  19. I kept a mudpuppy in an aquarium in my office for a couple of years. If you have seen both, there is definitely no way you could confuse one for the other.
  20. It's a good movie and book. I had never fly fished before I saw it. And it was several years after that before I did. The movie had nothing to do with my decision but I have still noticed the impact from it.
  21. As long as you don’t go to Taney or a trout park, you don’t have to worry about the Orvis influencers.
  22. Yeah whether they sell it to us or someone else, it’s still funding their ignorance in the name of religion.
  23. A lot of it comes from the sales of oil. They can sell us the oil to fund terrorizing us later.
  24. If my work has a Christmas party they can play a little game called “Where’s Ronnie?”
