  1. Sounds like you guys had a blast! I bet that wind was tough to deal with using the fly rods.
  2. In Missouri theDepartment of Motor Vehicles does all the boat registering, titling and licensing. Boat, motor, and trailer have to be registered, not trolling motors.
  3. Blunks Hole right off of Blunk Road just outside of Galena is a great place to catch whites on the James. It's gonna get real busy there soon.
  4. You done real good. Cant wait till they get back close to shore like that! Saturday was a good day for the crappie for sure.
  5. That is a fantastic sunset. We get some good ones on the Rock.

  10. This is where I saw the water patrol spending all their time searching slowly back and forth all day
  11. I have no idea on the temp. My antique graph does not show temps, but I can tell you if felt cold……Sorry.
  12. The water color was still pretty good. Not much different than it was Saturday. Even up Flat Creek it was still pretty good.
  13. That sounds like a fantastic day!
  14. Had to get my taxes done this morning before I could get out for some fishing. That took way longer than I was hoping for, but I was satisfied with the end results. Headed to the Bridgeport area around 1 this afternoon, launched the boat and went to check on Flat Creek 1st. Had trouble finding the brush pile I like to fish that is normally in 16 feet of water. Gave up after 20 minutes of looking for it with out finding it. Headed up to the bend because I wanted to fish a submerged log that is normally in 10 feet of water. Spent 20 minutes looking for it before giving up. Went above the bridge to try the brush on the bluff up there. That is when I noticed to water was 1 1/2 to 2 feet higher than last time i was there. No wonder i could not find the other structures I was looking for. I was looking in water that was 2 feet too shallow. There was a current along the bluff so I made 2 casts and decided to go out to the flat across from point 15. Spent an hour out there drifting around trying all depths of water from 10 feet to 20 feet of water. Only picked up 3 shorts. One in 13 feet and 2 in 20 feet of water. Went over and fished the bluff just before Peach Orchard and finally caught my 1st keeper in 26 feet of water on some structure. Marked the structure and fished it for another 30 minutes only catching one more short. Moved on down the Lake to the point 14 area and tried in the spots where I caught fish on Saturday. Nothing, nothing and nothing, except one nice spot out of some timer and brush in 30 feet of water. Decided to go work the flats again closer to the point 15 area. Started dragging and tandem jig rig with 1/8 oz. jig on bottom and then a 1/16th oz. jig about 18 inches above it. I would cast the rig out and just let the wind push the boat and tried working water starting in 30 feet letting the jig bounce on the bottom. Eventually worked my way into 26 feet of water and started catching fish. Stayed in 26 feet from then on and landed 6 more keeper crappie all over 11 inches and 15 or so shorts. At one point I thought I had a real nice crappie on, but it turned out to be a small flat head. Left about an hour before dark, due to not wearing enough layers. Yep, I got COLD! I enjoyed searching for them today. Seemed to be quite the challenge. Put all the keepers in the live well, but after getting cold, I did not feel like cleaning fish tonight. At the boat ramp, I checked on them and they were still feisty so I let them all go.
  15. I saw the water patrol out on flat creek all day today. He acted like he was running sonar looking for something for hours. He was not by the old bridge piers, he was by the old road that goes into the lake right by the old Doty's bait and tackle store.
  16. Nice job. Good looking fish.
  17. Good to meet you too Seth. Looking forward to the snagging report.
  18. Got about 4-5 inches here.
  19. I thought about taking a picture of all the boats in the James River Arm yesterday, but never got around to it. At least the water patrol and conservation agents were out doing a lot of inspecting in that area yesterday.
  20. Now that is some big crappies!
  21. We are all going to fish vicariously through you today, Phil!
