I'm the opposite. If there weren't any sports, I'd go insane.

Even if it is just as good as a Pre Rap.....it won't be. Nothing ever will. Even if concrete studies indicated a new "old wart" rendition caught more bass at a 5:1 clip over a Pre Rap on every body of water in the country....still wouldn't matter. The lore of that lure is set in granite.

BBT is just 2 weeks out. Might be hard to get a response on where the big ones are hiding.

I'm serious. People use crappie niblets....well...I use bass hot doglets. I tip all my treble baits with them. Should see how I skewer a full hot dog on a wire leader attached to a 2/0 treble with a helicopter lure trailer. Can't believe I just gave let that cat out of the bag on an open forum.

I only use Hebrew National hot dogs. Can't get bit on Nathan's, Hunter or Ballpark dogs. They don't have the same salt content or shimmy as the real deal Hebrew's all beef franks.

No kidding. If all goes to plan we will have the Porter kid on the court starting next year. Saying he will be a one and done deal but at this point who cares. He would give Mizzou instant credibility and hopefully open the lines for solid recruiting classes. Something we haven't seen in YEARS. Like you said, there is HOPE again in Columbia. Welcome back!

A rarity thing again. Just don't see many of them pop up.

Jim, Do yourself a favor and don't trade it straight up 1 for 1. Sell it. The SP-90 Missouri Craw fetches (depending on condition of course) anywhere from $60-$100 bucks. You can buy 5-10 Rock Crawlers on what you get for your bait.

I've thought about going to the pole style retriever. Probably easier than dealing with cords I'm sure. Most of the models made by Frabill and others have a metal corkscrew attachment at the end. I've looked at Timmy Horton's "Money Pole" model but it costs an arm and a leg. Just an outrageous price for what it is. If it was half the cost he wants I MIGHT think about getting one. http://timmyhortonmoneypole.com/component/content/?view=featured

My father in law has almost 1200 HP in his. Rode in it when he "hit" it. Let's just say I much prefer going 40 mph in a mode of transportation that can float and I have a life jacket on.

I have 3 cranking setups to cover the shallow-medium-deep ranges of 0-8, 8-14 and 14-25 FOW depths. The 0-8 FOW cranks I use an old BPS 7'3 M Extreme with a 6.4:1 ratio. For the 8-14 FT range I throw that on a 7' MH KVD composite graphite/glass blank (VERY soft MH) paired with a 5.4:1 reel. The deep cranker I have a BPS 7'10 MH Cranking Stick (Rust Brown color model) and I have a 5:4:1 on that as well. I use 10# InvizX on the shallow and medium divers and 12# on the DD22s, DT16/ 20's, Mann's 20+'s and 6/10XDs, etc.

I actually have quite a few friends in the Kansas City area. All of whom I met in college at MU. Have stayed with friends behind enemy lines before in Leawood. I slept with one eye open 'round Jayhawk country. Also did venture to Mission/Overland/Shawnee area to pick up some cowboy boots. That's as far as I was willing to go into hostile territory. But honestly I really like KC and haven't been beyond that into Kansas. At least not while on the ground.

Wow...that quite the gash on the old sniffer. Bet that smarted. MEDIC!.

Nope....still in Kansas, Toto. Bummer.

I'll give him.....

The Lounge. Go in there are and no telling what will be the topic of the day. Should rename the site BBBC. Big Boy Babysitter Central as a lot times that's all it is. Website babysitting and entertaining a bunch of grown men. Usually complaining amongst themselves about something trivial.

I don't think it got above 45 all day but as long as the sun is out that is fine. That or I am just becoming more tolerant of cooler weather.....more than likely because I am getting fatter each passing year. Got the walrus fat layer going on.

I belong to BBC as well. Didn't join until like 2012. I used to post somewhat regularly but the last 2 or 3 years I haven't much at all. Just too much nonsense, bickering and honestly TOO MUCH INFORMATION. Some guys get on there and spill their guts about pretty personal issues. Stuff that IMO shouldn't be aired on the internet to a bunch of guys you don't even truly know. Then you have the yahoo's who get on their and ask for legal, investment, property, tax, etc. advice. Boy...that sounds like a real good plan.....asking a bunch of loosely connected people that share the love of fishing for professional consultation on pretty dang significant matters. Don't get me wrong there is a TON of great info there. Probably 1,000 x the amount of members over there as here that can lend a hand with opinions on tackle, gear, boat, motor and all fishing related stuff. But at the same time it a free-for-all over there and one out of every fifty posts is actually about fishing, in the lounge anyhow. I've also done a fair amount of buying and selling stuff on the for sale boards on BBC. Never had a problem and that is probably the best feature they have. I prefer OA over BBC by a land slide. More regional/local, more personal, less BS, people are more genuine and I just feel all warm and cozy over here.

Hahaha. That's not right! But nope, slip is wide open for you to flip and pitch on in there. Lake is so low right now you can see the 25 year old brush piles my grandpa put out there. You have my permission to fish our dock, just not Alex(ander) The Great-Trespasser.

Babler has said in the past you get one crack at them so you had better put that bait where it needs to be. Pretty true yesterday. A lot of those fish came on pretty exact casts. Caught a few in some pretty hairy spots. Definitely needed my handy dandy lure retriever a few times yesterday. Booger'd up a few good spots too where the wind took the bait and/or line into the cedars on the cast and had to go get it.....ABOVE WATER.

Man, if they do worse than 8-24 and 2-16 in conference play, I don't think I want to be alive to see that. But thanks for the uplifting spirits, Dave. Hope you never come across someone standing on the 13 Bridge when you do decide to venture under it. No way are you gonna be able to talk them down. Come on now! Throw us MU fans a bone!
