Starting a fishing forum. Food recipes will ( and should!) be the focus!! So many chefs of excellence out there 🍗! Keep those “fish “ pics coming!👍👊🎣.

Washington State Park will be effectively closed. As far as rentals and shuttles are concerned. It'll be helpee selfee. I'll take the Big this time of year. Don't expect non stop action. Hit and miss but a chance for a good one.

My favorite stogie is the one I’m smokin. Sorry. Tres pathetique.

I smoked 5 cigars Saturday. I must have been in between, which is highly unusual for me to catch a nice one without a rolled tobacco product in my pie hole.

As you can see, my anger almost got the best of me... but after strangulation, the fish was released to warn black bears...

The key to cast iron is being poor in Depression era Appalachia.

Good luck. The only lips that will be sore will be human, from flapping them up and down about the lack of catching big browns. Along with sharing bottles.

Go further down brother. Big river is a champ this time of year. Mammoth Merrill Browns. Giddy up!

Yes, if you were looking for validation on your lure choice, then you might be right. Your float area and the fish said otherwise. It happens. But, you already knew that. Right?

Catch a State Record Fish? Then What?

We need a picture of an even bigger and better fish, like a tarpon. To make sure that trout is put in it’s place. Yeah. I caught a SHARK! -

We spend thousands and thousands of dollars to catch nice trout in exotic locations and that’s okay. Some class warfare grumbling aside, no one blinks. Someone catches a monster in our backyard, and apparently a crime has been committed. As if he(us) , and the fish, is somehow undeserving of our respect and good will. Once again, I’d rather laugh with the sinners, than cry with the saints. -
Did pretty much the same trip with my son and 2 brothers-in-law years ago. No fish pictures. Never been back. About sums it up for me. Still. You gotta give things a shot or you’ll never know.

Ahh. Not native. Eating stuff that “pure trout “ don’t. The Mark McGwire of trout. An insult to “natural “ fish everywhere. Therefore, I object. And, will never fish Taneycomo. Imagine. Trout in Missouri living in a river below a dam. The very idea. -
There is a banquet of smallmouth all over Missouri, yet some insist on voluntarily starving...

Yeah, Mr Wrench, the preacher's daughter as an untamed firecracker, ahem, is most often, again, a myth. The whorehouse, however, produces, without fanfare or fuss. And can, in the right circumstances, be SUBLIME.

The pursuit of a smallmouth Shangri La on some unnamed, hard to get, stream in Missouri in 2019 is a myth. Sure, one can catch 6 inch fish on some little esoteric tributary. Ooops, sorry. I forgot some people like to drive hours to catch minnows. (FU joeD, it's the experience, no, the JOURNEY, that matters). I don't get it. There is a smorgasbord of great smallmouth fishing in public, easy to access areas, yet, for apparently many, it is preferable to suffer in the name of "exploring," to spend hours researching and driving and going to streams that might produce a little fish or two. ( oh, sorry again, you had a 2 weight with a home made fly. Gawd). Oh, ...Oh... oh....now I get it. PRIVATE = SPECIAL SMALL= EXTRA SPECIAL SMALL PRIVATE EXTRA SPECIAL= SUBLIME FISHING EXPERIENCE HMM.......

Look at that tan swinger! Fabulous! In shape, wearing a wristwatch. Classic swimwear. Making things happen. BINGO!

Poor buzz baits. They're like the neglected toys in the Toy Story movies. Still have 'em and use 'em.

Shuttle was $10. Friday wasn’t charged. Just a tip for the driver. Who is the owner and very helpful.
