No one deserves to get shot in the head on the river. Quit the"shoulda couldas." Stop the ethical handwringing over landowner rights. Cease moralizing over the lives of those involved. No one deserves to die on the river. How would you feel if it was someone you cared about that was killed Saturday. And then you read the past 4 pages of posts? It's sad how quickly we dismiss and trivialize the loss of life. (Yes, I know life goes on) (Make no mistake, the man with the weapon, landowner or not, was going to shoot someone Saturday).

Our government and educational leaders are especially guilty. Let's not forget though, republican St Charles years ago was quite adamant about their and others freedom to choose a school of their(our) choice. Well students are choosing. I guess this wasn't the choice many had envisioned. Bottom line. Welcome the new kids, and get on with it. You'll live.

Walleye in certain Ozark streams are few and far between. For a reason. 99% of anglers catch one by accident. The number of Missouri anglers who pursue walleye in Ozark streams is extremely small. So, the question is, if you are one of the fortunate few who catches walleyes on a regular basis, including goliaths over two feet long, and are understandably unforthcoming about your "spots," why would you want a stocking program that would both increase fishing awareness and pressure, while possibly diluting the "natural" stock? You've got a good thing going. Why f*** it up?

We used to have a place on the " " river, and caught smallies anytime we wanted... The river was great until they let those college kids in... This river sucks, there aren't any fish... We should make rules...
