  1. what kind of trolling motor would Champ need for that rig?
  2. what a gorgeous fish
  3. he never slowed down when he started to cross the other boats wake.He should have trimed his own down vessels nose and eased up on the gas and never crossed from one side to the next.Don't be a show off and save your life.I am glad he was not giving someone a thrill ride.
  4. The wake will most certainly be much bigger with the jet boat when they dump the front end and turn a 180.they have to do that for the thrill factor. If people think that boat wont go to the dam when the water is high they are just kidding themselves.I don't care what the company says where it will go.Taney is just too small for a 30 ft boat.
  5. I think the snake was looking for some of those famous billethead fries we have been reading about lately
  6. thanks again for all the time and effort you put in answering my post.I hope see you on the water sometime so I can shake your hand.
  7. you sure have this down, great job marty
  8. that is a boat to be proud of
  9. nice looking rig
  10. better stick with a boat with at least a 25 hp motor.jon boat and trolling motor will not work, too much current.I do not have any experience with anything you have to paddle.always had a motor myself.Like Phil said, wading is very limited due to high water flows. If you don't have any or very little experience on Taney during high water flows this is not the best time to learn regardless what others might say.You can get yourself in trouble in a hurry if you don't know what you are doing, overhanging tress, downed trees, current sweeping you into the bank, you must never anchor in the current.Even pulling into boat docks can be dangerous with lots of current.
  11. I use wooly bugger marabou for small jigs .1/32 down to 1/100 oz. works just fine
  12. thanks for the quick reply,i will tye some
  13. Bill, could you post a picture of that shad fly with the recipe on the materials.thanks so much
  14. Good job chi0082.where are those smallies biting.
  15. pretty funny.
  16. Ignorant about everything else. You need to watch the history channel more often and learn about the great building feats of centuries past.Ther are great cathedrals that took several hundred years to build that are still standing.I will bet there isn't anything we do that will surpass that.I know that you probably made those statements in jest.
  17. That is an awesome job .Looks like it will be a nice boat.I saw in an earlier post that you were going to paint it with a latex house paint.I would not do that as it will not work.Latex paint breathes. It is not designed to be waterproof. It will soften up and peel right off the boat.I paint apartments for a living and I am always repairing water damage to latex paint.
  18. nice job on reporting all the high flows. It is getting worse for sure.I am sure all the new development and climate changes are to blame. We better get used to it is all I can say.Good job Al
  19. Really Ketchup .It is hard to see floating logs and other debris.
  20. why would you want to put a boat in under the current conditions?floating debris is very dangerous. All tournaments on the lake due to take place on the weekend were cancelled by the Mo.water patrol. You might want to check with them to see if the lake has been closed to boating
  21. thank you very much.I appreciate the info
  22. what material was used on the body and what did you use for head fabric.Good looking flies.I am glad I am not a fish.I would have a short lifespan
  23. I was checking the trout cam this afternoon at 1pm and saw a guy fishing upsteam standing on top of the dam. This fisherman did not have a safety belt on.This is just plain stupid with all high water.Very dangerous indeed. Please call me so I can get some term life insurance on you,i won't have to pay many premiums.
  24. nice yard ornament
