@Ryan Miloshewski I was wrong about my charges. it's 128/month for cable and internet. 300 (mbps?) I just called them and they will throw in the 4.99/month cloud service, and removing by digital box which will bring it down to 122/month. Zoomo will come preloaded with all the standard apps. I'll give it a try. Thanks for your input. If this fails, Youtubetv is next.

@Ryan Miloshewski That's what Brad keeps trying to get me to do. I assume you can't DVR? If I use streaming from SPectrum I can. Also do you get all your local channels? Is there anything you can't get that you would have to pay for? I want Spectrum for internet, but am open to giving up cable viewing. I pay 60 bucks for internet, the rest of the 213 is for television.
-
@Ryan Miloshewski I probably would have done just that. But I couldn't even get the pay-to-watch to load. It was like the whole world was downloading at the same time and Spectrum couldn't handle the traffic.

I had Peacock as a free app until this NFL debacle. Suddenly greed has no limits. I'm about ready to listen on the radio and forget televised events. Tired of being taken advantage of.

@Daryk Campbell Sr Just so you know, I have very thick skin. It would take more than a casual oversight to keep me away You gotta let us girls have the pleasure of ribbing on occasion! Sandy -

Since I didn't make either "yea" or "nay" list, and I KNOW y'all aren't all male chauvenists--I'm a "yea" unless the weather prohibits the drive. I may even fish -
Phil, you could probably make this a quarterly food pantry drive. Some of us know that the need is year round and not just at Christmas. Happy New Year everyone. And, no you wouldn't have to take the dunk every time. Shaving is an option

My flyrod catches are limited to : rainbow, brown, sculpin, Kentucky Bass, smallmouth, redhorse sucker, perch, carp. As many crappie as I've caught--not one on a flyrod. Maybe a NY resolution?

@grizwilson Thanks for the kind words. The sentiments that keep resonating are "I can hear him telling these stories." His editor worked hard to keep it real I assume you have at least met Rick if not fished with him a time or two, Griz? I hope that's the case. And if we have not met, perhaps sometime soon. Have a Happy New Year! Sandy

@trythisonemv I assume you'll bring a rod?

I would love to say I'll be there, but the weather will be a huge factor for me. If I can come, I will bring either a dessert, or if something else is needed at the last minute, let me know. Definitely donating. Thanks, Phil!

@Foghorn I miss you guys! Let me know when you go fishing at either Bennett or Taney! ❤️

I wish I could tell my favorite veteran once more "Happy Veterans Day" and present him with a red poppy. Thank you, Rick, for your service, your love, and your loyalty. You honored your country, and it was an honor to call you my husband. And to all my veteran friends and family, Happy Veterans Day! This country owes you a debt of gratitude and admiration for keeping us safe!

Have these people lost their minds? Where are we getting the electricity we need for these freakin' electric cars if they do this, but they refuse nuclear power generation? https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/largest-dam-removal-project-in-history-restores-hope-we-have-watched-the-dams-suffocate-the-life-out-of-the-river/ar-AA1jsHnm?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=7c53b6c85d0c45c79e0245865dcb9c05&ei=13

@fishinwrench Glen, I'm glad you journaled. It is like reliving the event. Everytime I listen to the podcast of Rick's big brown I get excited. Everyone needs to document an event that is truly special in their life--a birth, a wedding, a vacation, a honeymoon. They deserve to have a life of their own!

Since Rick started a lunker log for me, I'll try to keep it up. I will note anything newsworthy, including my first Limit Of Lunkers on 10-4-2021, and the one-and-a-half pound Kentucky Bass I caught on 9-30-2019. 1678 is a long way away, but I'll keep plugging away

A nice souvenir from today. Lost a couple more. Had another just slightly smaller, and several dinks. Weather was perfect! Wish you could have come Alex and Chris! The plastic baggie was for my phone. I needed it today. Took a detour into the drink

@trythisonemv Joking aside, thank you for that wonderful compliment. The feeling is mutual! ❤️

@trythisonemv Check's in the mail 😉
-
@trythisonemv Oh, and I'm working on a new net with your name on it As Rick once said, it's "guaranteed to be able to land the next state record."
-
@trythisonemv I'm VERY proud of the fisherman you have become, and I know Rick is. I'm just stinkin' tired of being outfished by you! You are quickly becoming a trout whisperer. Now just train your eyes to see them blink before they take the fly. That's their tell Love you buddy!! ❤️

Berkley Parametric another vintage rod found

@fishinwrench I'm with you on budget rods/reels that do the trick. I don't begrudge people who want bragging rights. But please don't try to convince me they catch more/bigger fish I worked for a sporting goods jobber. No wonder why we were always broke The composite rods cost me 19.95, and the early graphites cost me 39.95. They closed out Heddon 310 reels and I bought all they had for $5 each--gave most of them to friends. It was a great little reel that served us well back in the day. Rick's Sage was the only expensive piece of equipment he ever owned in 50 years of fishing. -

First day with the 10'er. Caught mostly trees. But it wasn't a total bust. Question--Can someone tell me why there is such a wide range of colors on the browns? I mean I know food has something to do with it. How many strains do we have in Taney now? My big brown was really dark and the spots were obscured. The one I caught today had a bright orange belly. Sorry, but the photos wouldn't upload for some reason.
