  1. Royals do. But if the Cards are lucky enough to meet us... lets go. You said something about another I-70 Series this year.
  2. Good luck to yo... oh wait, never mind.
  3. The last pic is now my background photo. Very nice...
  4. He looks like a Riffle-dog to me Wrenchie. River-dog would be proud...
  5. Hoping Ventura's stuff is on tonight. I agree with the Rapster's assesment of the Giants. But that's how the Royals win too.
  6. APPLEBEES! Where true friends meet.
  7. Haven't looked it up but I think Matheney's led 'em to at least 90 wins the last three years. Cards will always be the Cards. Hell... second most World Series titles behind the Yankees. They're always good. We KC fans are... well... not used to this dung. I remember the early 70's when we finally knocked off the A's (our old team that I went and watched at Municipal Stadium as a kid) and took control of the AL West. It was exciting then because we were just a few years from being an expansion team (1969). We were good from '76 till '85 but the darn Yankees kept breaking our hearts. We lost to a great Phillies team in '80 and I had to watch what I could as I was overseas in the Navy. Then came '85 and as I always tell Cards fans... "Thank You Don Denkinger". I'm hoping we win this Series without controversy.

Holy crap Chicken Little. Get ahold of Bill. Hire the Black Mamba. Problem solved. Seriously... have you witnessed them cooking? Sores all over them? Seen any Mexicanos wearing cowboy boots with a silver skull on the toe? Sounds like your Sheriff pretty much sucks, but you're not alone. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. Name is Prater.
  9. Yes and yes to both questions.
  10. If you don't feel safe in Springburb, move to KC. Much safer... And... RONNIE DOUBLE POSTED!
  11. Saw Wheatie ask one once but all the fish could say was he'd found Happy Jesus...

Ronnie, I detect toungue in cheek messages in your post. Seriously... from what I've seen from the Chiefs they could use him. We need defense and more...
  13. Like a cockleburr on my lower unit.
  14. Nice picks OTF. My buddy (Wounded One) real name Mike and I were out there from July 19th till the 27th. Stayed in a campground above Lake City and Lake San Cristobal just over 9000 feet. Fished for nothing but brookies in high country because as you experienced on the Unc the flow was high on the larger rivers. Brookies were plentiful and easy to catch especially on Big Blue Creek north of Lake City. Mike brought a smoker and we were the toast of the campground with handouts. Drove the Alpine Loop in my FX4. Truck did fine but had the wrong tires for the trip. Blew one out just before American Basin which I wanted to take pics of for my wife because the flowers were in full bloom we heard. Got the spare on and limped down the mountain. Anyhow, the Alpine Loop consists of going over two passes. Engineer and Cinnamon. Cinnamon is lower but is the roughest. Nice ponds up there between the two passes. Hopefully Mike will post some pics... he had the camera and phone.
  15. You guys are douches for even griping about it. Get a life... or try fishing something obscure besides your precious home waters.
  16. Heck, run a (very) shallow trot line in the area you're fishing. Laugh your butt off when they cut between you and the bank and their prop takes hold. And screw the skiers they're pulling. Lesson learned.
  17. Thus why I'm home this weekend. I've got weekdays during the summer for the rest of my life to be on the lakes or rivers...
  18. Everybody has their favorite. Mine would be the upper Jacks Fork when floatable. Others would include the Big Piney from Dogs Bluff to Ross; the North Fork from Hale to Hammond; most of Bryant Creek; and the Eleven Point from Cane Bluff to Greer. Have fun... there are plenty of waters closer to you the forum guys might suggest.
  19. Looks like you're stuck going to Dolly Wood with the girls. Start searching on the net and then google earth it to see what it looks like. Then enjoy the congeniality from the crowds from our eastern part of the USA!

Old Plug... the girls I "met" in the late 70's during west-pac's named us. We all went by "Cherry Boy"

Watching the Netherlands putting it to Spain right now. They're on a mission from 4 years ago I think. They're my pick to win...
  22. Rivers in southern Missouri can be dangerous one weekend and perfect the next (if not before). Watch the weather and you'll be fine. Especially if you're floating Eminence to the JF. Keep in touch with your outfitter.
  23. Upper Jacks ain't floatable now. Buck Hollow gauge is at 1.53 (as of this morning) and needs to be at least 1.80 or above for a loaded canoe. I prefer closer to 2.00. There are shallow stretches from Bay to Alley and IMO it's not a great float. I'd concentrate on the lower JF from Shawnee Creek to Two Rivers or the Current from Round Spring to Two Rivers. My recommendations are if you like to fish.
  24. Exactly why I float. I have enough pain in my rear. Don't need any inmates com-POUNDING it...
