There is a lot of good reading on the COE website about how they make their decisions. Like mentioned a lot hinges on the water level of the white river downstream. It looks like Newport is the gauge they use to evaluate water release from our lakes. It just now is getting back to a normal level and bull shoals is ramping up generation in the last few days. That will probably slow down with the rain.

Flippin High School fishing team is hosting this tournament as a fundraiser. It will be out of Bull Shoals Boat Dock on May 30th. Entry fee is $30 with a $10 big bass optional. Take off is 6:30 weigh in at 2:00 Every kid will receive a prize pack from our sponsors with tackle, hats, t-shirts, etc. We will give trophies to the top 3 teams. Top finishing teams will also receive other prizes like rods, reels, gift cards, etc. A team can be made of an adult and up to 2 kids 18 years old or under. I have an entry form with more details I will try to figure out how to upload a copy later or can e-mail it to you if you are interested.

700+ miles of shoreline and 300-400 boats cause this much controversy? There is lots of productive water and areas of the lake right now, we fished this weekend and yea there was boat traffic, but nothing to take away from an enjoyable weekend with plenty of fish catching. What a fantastic lake we are all blessed to get to enjoy!

Fished norfork Saturday in a club tournament. 24 boats zero 5 fish limits. 9pounds won. Tons of dead and dying shad all around the lake. Good luck.

I think Abu has a "winch" reel in their ORRA line which is right in your price range. Something I use as a bait keeper is about a 1/4 inch long or so piece of 1" or 1.5" PVC pipe. Costs nothing and works great.
