  1. By new generation I assume you mean the one that slides over the tilt shaft. I like mine real well. You have to put it on the port side shaft. On yamaha there is a grease zert on the starboard side and you will knock it off if you put it on that side.
  2. I know what you mean rps. Was running back into big indian around 10 am and it looked like the invasion of Normandy!
  3. Deal of the day!
  4. Actually for me the top bite has gotten worse with each passing day of this cool weather. Fish were still in the same locations, just wont hit my top junk. Had to go to a jig and slow roll a blade to get bit. Did have a couple keeper blacks on a fin in the White river Wed. in the willows. Boat was in 3 ft of water.
  5. Sweet!
  6. Had a blast fishing the same water with a buddy. Thanks Bill for the goody bag. There were kinda fussy today but we did pretty good. Bills client caught a lot more than I did, but was too stubborn to switch to the same thing. After the top fizzled I went to the gravel stuff and zip, nothing. Went to some steeper stuff and managed 6 0r 7 on a jig with a twin tail grub. I just realized my profile pic is the same area we fished today! Don't know what tomorrow will bring, clear and cool . Like I said in my earlier post. I think its getting better.
  7. Hair jigs are good in the winter.
  8. Jackie did go with me, I came in around 9 am and picked her up. She enjoyed getting out. And all the prayers were much appreciated !
  9. Been several months since I have got to go fishing due to my wifes health. Shes getting better by the day. She had throat cancer and so far its all gone. Had pneumonia 4 weeks ago. Icu for 8 days and 13 day in hospital. She now has a trach tube and a peg tube. Hope to have those out in a couple of months. Back to fishing . Fished Indian point area today and first spot they were killing the fin. Had 7 on it with 4 keeps. They flat killed it, not the peck and miss fin bite. they were done at 7am. Went to some flatter gravel stuff and caught 2 or 3 off each spot with tube and jig. Most were smallies. I expect by the end of the week you are going to have to get a number to fish the runoffs up in the dam area. Did stumble across a couple of brush piles I didn't now existed and caught couple off those. Anyway ended up with 14 or 15 with 5 keeps. Maybe 12 pounds. Bite was pretty well over for me by 10am. Fished until 11.30. Boat traffic was moderate by not bad by any means.
  10. A teenager drowned in Table Rock Lake over the holiday weekend, according to the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to a patrol report, Joshua A. Washington, 18, of Republic, was attempting to assist other people in the water on July 4 near Point 12 on the James River Arm of Table Rock Lake when he did not surface. The incident happened at about 10:20 a.m., according to the report. Washington was pronounced dead on the scene by Stone County Assistant Coroner John Cunningham at 12:05 p.m., the report stated. Washington was not wearing a life jacket, according to the report. I hadn't heard this.
  11. I still daydream about having torpedos mounted on my boat, and button's on the steering wheel to launch em. I usually fire em off 3 or 4 times a trip!
  12. This man is a suspect in the lip ripping. He drives a yellow 1986 14 ft champion mean machine. The boat never gets on plane just plows through the water with its bow straight in the air. Also loud ice cream truck music comes from the boat. He throws clown colored redfins. If you see him contact local law enforcement. Do not approach as he will squirt fish formula on you from a flower on his lapel.

  14. Can we include drum on the eradication list?
  15. Good topic. Need to post this on the Table rock site. Good info.
  16. Jake, or Beardsly.
  17. 920 would be fine with me. I do better when the lake fishes large.
  18. White river permit let's you fish in ark. Gotta have the Ark trout permit to catch trout.
  19. Moonshine is public, but still requires a day pass. Not sure if you can access the beach by boat as there are sign posted no boats past this point.
  20. Still waters has kayaks and paddle boats. Trust me you can fish there Cove and catch smallies, blacks and spots. No need to venture unless you just want too.
  21. For the babies and us !
  22. Plus water levels holding steady. Just wish there were a few more bushes for the babies to hide in.
  23. Thanks, I really think if I had it flush mounted it wouldnt have done it. Its on a ram mount. The console unit is the same thing and it got just as wet with no problems. But they should still be waterproof regardless.
  24. Your spot on Jason, the majority of them are done. Without sounding like a windy fish story I slaughtered the smallmouth in the dam area Thursday, Sat, and sunday. Caught plenty in the 3 to 4 pound range and all were thin and spawned out. Didnt have much trouble with the tournament guys. Most spots had it all to myself. I was blind in the front of the boat as evidently the Lowrance gen 2 cant get wet in the rain, it quit working the day after fishing it in the rain all day, just a gray screen . The smallies are on there way back out to the briny deep, still shallow now but have there noses pointed to deeper water.
  25. I caught one in Mill creek 5 or 6 years ago on a redfin.
