  1. One of the Elite Fisherman had a bass cough up a blue back today that weighed 1.5 pounds. 16 bags over 20 pounds Without a doubt the best lake in the USA Today Still bed fishing there. Also topwater and glide bait post spawners Geeeeeez
  2. Can’t even express how sorry I am. Friend a few years ago during the same situation found all his Orvis gear broken in half and in the dumpster in front of his wife’s home. Formerly their home. Right at $15,000 worth of rods broken to pieces. Waders with cuts coats and boots burned. Don’t understand how people you have loved can do this. He didn’t cheat it was just a non-compatibility divorce. She got off scot clean. Very sorry for your entire family. Goid Luck
  3. That kind of gear is hard to move unless it is an almost give away. I bet he still has a portion of it. I’d call law enforcement.
  4. Old 86 as well as Beardsley Branch has been deemed off limits. 🤪🤪🤪🤪 Great pictures thanks for the post and info.
  5. Great day to say the least close to 40 small jaws is one to remember, especially with some pushing 3 pounds. Know what you mean about the swimbait, they’re really not eating it like they were 2 weeks ago, but they will eat a stickbait. Ned or a shaky head is the best up here too. Any moss issues? Thanks for the report.
  6. Those are really nice. Longtime friend Gary Martin is building mine. He and his son did the dirt work and the concrete. He has an Amish Crew that does the framing, metal and insulation. He has an electrician wire it. We’re going to brick the foundation and a brick front around the 18’ garage door. I’ll post a pic when we’re done.
  7. Steve do you have a point 1 global positioning antenna? What units do you have? It should have an internal GPS and all you would need to do is put the overlay on your screen with the mph Just call the number I listed for Stone and he would tell you in a minute, no charge and he would be happy to do it The external Point 1 Antenna is just way more accurate for Lowrance units
  8. Did you have to use a minner or did they bite a jig? Really nice fish, thanks. Stone and I found an absolute wad of crappie but could only catch one on the 2.8 Keitech. Becky and I may run back over this evening with a couple dozen minnows.
  9. Good friend Quill introduced me to Guinness Baltimore Blonde a few years back. Got the glasses from the Guinness online store to go with it. Keep them tucked neatly away in the freezer for medicinal and emergency purposes. Only problem now is finding the Baltimore Blonde. It’s gotten super hard to come by. I do have some Tank 7 and Mooners on the bench. And yes Willy, we are having a ball. We are working at getting our deck restored, some siding replaced on the house and a sun curtain for the deck. $10,500.00. OUCH on the curtain. We have been looking at a motorized sun shade from Rainer or Power Shade. Our deck faces West and it’s hard to use after about 2 in the afternoon great breeze, bad sun, stunning view of Table Rock Lake. Our other big project is a 45’ by 26’ storage building and shop for the boat. We are waiting on Amish framers. Contractor said he hopes to have it dried in early May. I
  10. Started out at 61 degree, but got to 64 around 1pm at the Knob. When the wind started the jerk bait got really popular.
  11. Yes I agree as I mentioned they compress and become more vertical. I like it. Let’s you know you’re not fishing in a bathtub.
  12. Due to extreme misbehavior during incarceration, judge Becky deemed these subjects incorrigible and not worthy of parole. I thought this might happen. I tried to get that walleye and crappie to just get along but it wasn’t going to be. Big mess of Roons and this would have been unreal. Good Luck.
  13. Thats really cool, I never think about it either, but when that wind started today I asked Phil if he thought a Red Eye Shad would work as they were munching that jerk bait and they wanted it KVD Fast.
  14. Beautiful fish Doc, thanks for sharing. Your graph picture illustrates the difference between the Garmin and the Lowrance. The fish are vertical on the Active Target and Horizontal on the Livescope. Fish on the livescope are a bit more defined and don’t shadow. You can also see quite a bit more movement of the fish with in a school or singles. With the Active Target the fish compresses as he either attacks or follows your bait, and it too is easy to see that the fish is interested. I like them both. I think it comes down to which trolling motor you prefer. And I will say that Phil’s 2D with the Clear View Down Scan overlay kicks the Garmin’s butt right out of the water. Lowrance has been and still is the absolute KING of 2D sonar. Throw in the down imaging with the overlay and Katy Bar the Door.
  15. For once we got somewhat of a pleasant surprise. We were expecting worse . 😀😀😁😁😀Becky. While Becky mailed off the blood money, Phil Stone and I took a spin around the Knob. We wanted to fish some big baits, but these fish are just not up on the bank good for me till after lunch. Started on top and caught a very nice K on a Surge Shad. I did throw the Chad Shad some in a few deep trees and had a couple of follows but no success. 1/4 oz. Spot Remover was the deal in about 15’ Caught several on a jerk bait including 2 keeper walleye and the nice Jaw Phil is holding. Few on a swimmer and few on a hard head and a jig. Great morning with Phil Stone. Phil has a new Phoenix PHX equipped with Lowrance, both Ghost and Active Target. I’ve heard some poo poo on it, but I really thought he had it dialed in great. I don’t think the targets are quite as defined as my Garmin, but anytime you can see your bait splash and tell your working fish, that’s way good enough. Crappie had a back problem so we cured it. Another one of the prisoners had a poor custody hearing so it also went back to prison. I’ll let you guess which one😜😜 He had his down scan overlayed on his 2D. Fabulous picture. I mean EXCELLENT. IF Anyone on here has a Lowrance set up you’re not quite sure of you need to take a trip with him and he will make it look like you can’t believe. 870-715-2764. Days like today will stay with you a lifetime. Good Luck
  16. Thanks I thought it had to be some type of off limits violation.
  17. What happened to Ron Nelson? We went to church and when we got home he was in 6th. place. Was there a penalty?
  18. That’s really Chicken Dropping to charge that for a friggin hotdog. They know that guys are going to come in hungry so let’s just take advantage of everything we can. Just when I start to feel better about BP they as usual pull crud like that. Amazing.
  19. That looks pretty good. Thanks for posting.
  20. Bet Mike is fishing a RK Crawler. Looks Ike perfect water for it.
  21. Thanks Jeff Great article. Sounds like we’re in great shape if they are using TR for a breeding ground.
  22. Thanks I’ll watch
  23. Just got off the phone with one of the locals. They had about 70 fish with 28 solid keeps Thursday. Yesterday from 0600 till Noon they had 5 fish, 3 of them were walleye, 2 on a Ned and one on a swimmer. At Noon said the fish moved up and flooded the bank. From noon to dark thirty they said it was a total slugfest. Pairs on bed everywhere and staging fish galore. We quit too early. Afternoons are the best right now. They saw 72 degree water in the backs of the pockets right before dark.
  24. Farmer, if you have fished those and done well congrats. Thought I’d try a pack however I simply hate Mustad hooks. Tried 2 and the lock fell out of both of them. They ain’t cheap in price so I was somewhat PQ’ed. $8.25 for 3 hooks and have them fall apart doesn’t put them on my A list. Lots and lots of way better and more knowledgeable fishermen than me love Mustad’s, I think Champ and Donna use a bunch of them and we know KVD is their spokesperson They catch fish, I just like others better. When the triple grips came out Beck and I switched everything we had over to them. It was a bad choice. The 3 power locks I bought last week, One Pack are the only ones I owned. I don’t own any now. Would not have stepped on your toes or even mentioned it but the durn things are expensive to break like that, and maybe it was just me, which is a real possibility. When I bought them I thought I’d discovered the perfect fish trap, we think alike. Good Luck
