Needs to stop chasing those hooked fish with his trolling motor on Rayburn with all that underwater structure If the drag on your reel can’t handle the fish throw the crappy thing in the lake and get some decent reels Man the fishing pressure is just terrible down there. Bobby Lane said he had 15 people fishing around him and I believe they said there was a 400 boat derby today also.

Lilley's Lake Taneycomo Fishing Report, March 25
Bill Babler replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Really challaging to get up there because of multiple riffles. I walked about a 1/4 mile down Roark as I can usually find some up there during high water or heavy generations, but I saw neither any trout or suckers. I was really surprised. Game Warden was there looking for suckers and said he thought they might be up there too. Nope. Wish I would have tried the sculpin jig. Didn't think of it. Great news on the stocking, now shut the water down and we will be back in business. -
Lilley's Lake Taneycomo Fishing Report, March 25
Bill Babler replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Supplement: Really a very small number of bites per day with all this flow. Yesterday we started to see some stained water coming over the top from Long Creek. Surface temps are a steady 44.1 degrees. Shad fly and white 1/8th. oz. Jig under an indicator has been my go to along with the straight line jig. Have also caught some on a shad fly size 10 scud combo on a drift rig with 3/8 oz weight down to a 3/16 oz. Moss still can be bad and a lot of cleaning is common. If you can throw a jerk bait, this bite can be good early, but it stops way to soon. Mega bass 110 plus one in French pearl, in the restricted zone. It just seems the zone is by far out fishing the catch and keep area now. Last 2 days our fish have started to look more stressed. Last week we caught very few that were not toad fat. Last two days on the 17 we boated they looked like they needed a break and a high calorie dinner or three. Both Phil Stone and I fished with some bait for part of our day yesterday. He pulled crawlers from Fall Creek to Trout Hollow for over an hour yesterday with no bites. I pulled from Lilleys thru Cooper with minnows and crawlers for an hour with no bites. Its really hard right now if people want to keep fish. Most of the guides that are not fishing the creeks can't catch enough keeper quality trout for their clients. There is only so much room in the creeks and from what I heard today tempers have been starting to flair due to fisherman being on top of each other and lots and lots of back and forth boat traffic, pretty much trout park closeness and then throw in boats and motors. I don't need that. I'm also thinking at Table Rock 916 level things will change for the better. Until then good luck -
Loved that bologna but the chili sauce was magnefico.

Kind of seems like November on Lake O. They bubble that big single Colorado just under the surface in 45 to 50 degree off color water. Not a ton of bites but when you get one you know it Good Luck and let us know

Monday thru yesterday this lake decided to get mad. Fishing terrible from what I’m hearing all sections A little sunshine and warm temps and it will fire back up Good Luck
-
I get such a kick out of Hogville forum. They are a bit mad cause they did not win the SEC tournament. However if they win their first round game Mussleman is great. If Colgate beats them he should be fired immediately Hope all the SEC teams do well and Arkansas is in a great spot to do so.

Talking about it getting down to 31 degree here tonite with blowing snow flurries. Surface temps around the Long Creek bridge on Table Rock this morning were 44 degree. I think tomorrow with wind at 25 out of the North and gusting with a high projected to be 41. Would be a great day for fun fishing that blade in Long Creek. Let us know how you do. 😊

Thanks for posting. I’ll get me a winter pair. They look great

0600. 3-16-21 TR Lake level is 917.4. Last 12 hrs. 4 inch rise. Think we weathered this deal, but I’m showing 80% for tomorrow and 50% for Thursday so the next round might add to the pot Hopefully not to much.
-
At 6 pm the level is 917. That's a rise from 6am this morning of about 8" in the last 12 hrs. Have not heard an expected crest. I'd be really surprised with the gates open if we had another 8" rise by 0600, but who knows.

Bull at times but logistically for me it is a bit of a stretch. I'll usually take 1/2 a dozen bass and about the same amount of walleye trips down there a year. I just love the place, mostly just go fun fish by myself

National media is pretty much saying X and Tilmon have checked out. Their performance in the last several games kind of shadows that. Really doubt that they beat Zero U. And I am a total Tiger Fan. If they would beat them they would play the Zags tough but getting by OH U. Will be a major deal.
-
After reading and studying his post there is simply no way myself or any other TR Guide could meet those expectations that time of year, or would really want to take on a challenge like that My recommendations are like that above, follow the forum for current reports but perhaps better, change locations and spenda great week at Lilleys catching limits of rainbows every day Good Luck

I might have to revise up as we had additional water works here last nite. Total now is around 5” We’re up to 16.5 and Phil just text that they are opening gates. Sunny here now so maybe it’s over

I don't think it matters. Look till you land on them and then stay put.

Saw that. Buddy had right at that 15lb. number and another friend had 14Lbs. Both fished the A-rig. I think between the teams they had 20 plus keeps and 1/2 again that many shorts. Both said they just flat out got bit all day, not on every location but if you caught 1 on a point you would catch a mess. Both teams had 4.75 pounders but had to finish out with K's. Again this time of year deep trees using forward facing electronics won the derby, A-rig over the tree tops Lots of fun fishing out there right now, come and get ya some. Another friend fished the dam yesterday, just fishing and had 8, all keeps with a couple of 4 pounders on a stick bait. He didn't get out till after 11 am and was done by 3. He caught LM and Jaws with no K's. Said he thought his best 5 would have gone 16 lbs. Another friend had a similar day here at the dam on a small jig and a 2.8 keitech. Our little slice if heaven was full of boats yesterday and it is one on every point today Go if you can, the wake boats will be here soon

Springfield and North rains very seldom do much for this lake. We're only up 14" since Wednesday. My buddy at Spfg. had 6" in the past several days. 3.5 here in Blue Eye For this to go crazy here we have to have at least 6-7" plus in the White River Basin and we did not get that. It might hit 916 but I think that would get it, unless we get a big deluge in N. Arkansas.

I wonder about the action on a spoonbill like that. I know the regular 110's seem to have better action and a quicker snap than the plus 1 and 2. They just get deeper faster

In the last 3 games counting last nite Tilmon has a total of 8 rebounds. He had ZERO last nite. 6'10" and 265 and can't get a single board, just terrible. It was over when Notae flipped that one over his head with the clock expiring and it went in. I'd say one and done in the big dance. X and Tilly look ready to leave.
-
We had 3.5 inches here at the Lodge in Blue Eye last nite after getting zero the last two days. Just poured and thunder and lightning all night Talked to 4 different teams fishing this weekend. 2 were just hammering them and 2 could not get a bite. Very strange this time of year. They are on certain locations and not so much similar spots. If you get on them, you better stay with them, cause they may not be around the corner.
-
Hogville is pretty sure their going to the final 4. We split with them but since they have the new Bestest coach in the NCAA and the best team. Baylor and the Zags won’t have much of a chance against them. SEC Tournament is just a formality I think it will be close but the hogs should win it. They’re really athletic. Be a good game

I thought the same exact think. Its always a condition, just when you kind of got it dialed in, suddenly you don't.
-
Every fish I caught was on the pause, including the walleye. I think someone posted in the Cape Fair thread 10 to 15 seconds. I was probably a bit slower at a 30 second pause and then a head turn, just a bump bump. There for a while when they were really going I was trying to catch one on every cast so I really let it soak. They were biting so good you really couldn't miss them, as they or one of their buddies would come back after a swing and miss

10# I saw it today on my Live Scope at 16' but you have to remember its weighted. Most fish are cruising in under 15' up the White. Most that I caught today were even shallower Spoke to a couple of guys right now that are fishing it on 8#
