  1. I'm no fan of the Chinese government and I personally believe we should be doing all we can to wean ourselves away from Chinese made products. However I will remain skeptical of whether or not this is a lab created virus. If it is, we'll figure that out, time will tell.
  2. from what my DR told me, the pneumonia shot doesn't even work that well with pneumonia, according to him there's about 100 different strains of pneumonia and the shot is only effective for about 3 of them.
  3. My 2 cents is that is a possibility, but I'm far from convinced. That guy in the video you posted makes a good case, but I have 2 problems with it. No one he interviews is currently working for any institution like the NIH, CDC, or any recognizable research facility. The people he interviews are all "former" types as in former military, CIA (supposedly) or other 'investigative' reporters. It's all one sided, I'd like to see him interview people who have a different opinion. And people that are with credible organizations. It's like a trial where you only hear the prosecutions case.
  4. Yeah who knows, people react differently when they don't have time to think things through. Only other thing I can think of is that he thought if he kept backing it in, the boat would get up on the trailer, and he was focusing on that and not paying attention to where he was on the ramp. Could've been tired of making payments too. Hello State Farm, you wouldn't believe what just happened to me.
  5. I didn't know what a pangolin was until this Covid thing hit us.
  6. Now that you mention it, very few of the Wally employees were wearing masks at the Jane store either. I didn't look to see if the checkers had plexiglass up as I did a self-checkout. Lots of containers full of groceries waiting to be picked up, seems a lot of people are ordering online and picking up. I'm curious how long the TP stock lasts, but no way I'm making a trip over there just to check.
  7. Here comes some more water, I am hoping it won't cause TR to raise very much.
  8. Yep, when the pollen is really bad, like it is now, I get a runny nose and my eyes itch. It's really bad when I first get out of bed in the AM, but isn't too bad during the day. Needless to say, if you're hacking and coughing around people it will probably spook them. Just have to maintain distance if you can.
  9. Well that tells you that people, for the most part, don't want to talk politics. In the past we did and it generally results in everybody getting in a mud slinging match. Today I made my weekly visit to WalMart, went over there about 0830. Very few people there. Shelves were relatively well stocked, there was even an abundance of TP with several brands to choose from. Even though I don't need any hand sanitizer, I checked to see if there was any and there was not, but there was liquid hand soap.
  10. I can dig it, me, I'm done with the liquid stuff myself, seems I'm always getting it on my fingers or I set a bait down that I've just glued and it leaks and glues itself to whatever I laid it on. My complaint with the gel is that there isn't much of it in those little bottles.
  11. I use Loctite gel myself and I don't have the drying up issue, probably because I get my baits done at home and I don't leave the lid off when I'm not using it. I refuse to bring it or the liquid stuff into my boat, that liquid runs like water and I'm afraid at the end of the day I'll end up with my face glued to the carpet. Glue them up the night before you go fishing or a few days in advance and all the issues go away, you can spend your time fishing rather than messing around gluing baits in your boat.
  12. For sure you want to superglue those Keitechs to the jig head. I glue them up at home, and you can often repair them too using superglue. I glue grubs too and of course Ned stuff.
  13. He's going to be a fish catching machine! Congrats!
  14. Completely different culture for sure. They look out for themselves. They aren't interested in being nice guys.
  15. No doubt they are, they ain't stupid.
  16. China is invested in the US, they own about $1 trillion in US government debt and we run a $350 billion annual trade deficit with them. That debt props up the Yuan, if the US dollar plunges in value, Chinese good become more expensive, thus it is in their best interests to have a healthy US economy so we keep buying their stuff at relatively low prices. It is not in their best interest to have our economy tank. They understand the value of their relationship with the US, it's a mistake to think that they don't. China has now become a net importer of food, in other words they can't feed themselves on their own domestic production. We have the world's best transportation network to get farm products moved to market including getting it to China. They are dependent on us to make up that food shortfall. There's also oil and coal which China imports. No need to be scared of the Chinese, in some ways we have them by the short hairs. We need to really work on our trade relationship with China, it's time for a change.
  17. Yes sir, Honey Creek state park.
  18. Very nice! That's a great day in Indian. I really need to start throwing a fluke.
  19. Our govt. has a plan to retaliate. They are going to release a bioengineered virus - Covid 29 - in Kansas City. It will spread throughout the city and will infect the handful of Chinese nationals living there. No doubt some of those Chinese will travel home and spread the virus in China. It will wreck China's economy - we win!
  20. Whenever some disaster happens that has no cut and dried immediate explanation, out come the conspiracy theories. Maybe this has something to do with JFK, or Elvis.
  21. Awesome, thanks!
  22. That looks like the ramp at the state park in Grove OK on Grand lake. I launched once there with Champ. His boat, and I didn't think to launch it backwards and off the top of the hill, would love to try it next time as long as it is his boat.
  23. Don't have Panoptix myself, but may someday unless AGFD bans it here in Arkansas - I say this based on this email I got from them today: Over the last several months, anglers have approached fisheries biologists around the state with their concerns about the potential impacts of LiveScope sonar technology on crappie populations. But rest assured, anglers are not the only ones who have recognized the potential increases in angler efficiency that this technology could provide. Fisheries biologists across the nation have been discussing this topic for a while. Additionally, members of the AGFC Statewide Crappie Management Team have also been discussing and investigating this technology for the last few years. Garmin LiveScope Image of a school of crappie hanging out under a dock. Photo courtesy of www.crappie.com. As with any new technology comes warranted and/or unwarranted concern about its potential effects on fish populations. For example, products such as umbrella rigs, sidescan sonar, and many others break into the fishing industry, each one bringing a wave of concern about its impacts. Before any decision about potential regulations can be made, fisheries biologists must first conduct rigorous scientific research to allow us to make a well-informed decision. Some of the first data collected regarding LiveScope usage in Arkansas were collected during the 2019 spring season angler creel survey on Lake Overcup. AGFC staff are also working with university fisheries researchers to analyze the usage of LiveScope (and other technologies, such as sidescan and downscan sonars) at multiple locations across the state to help determine if anglers using LiveScope are more successful. Researchers are also investigating the potential long-term effects of specifically harvesting larger crappies from a population at a faster rate. The good news here is that crappie populations have a very high "turnover" rate. In Arkansas, the average crappie population has an annual mortality rate (amount of fish that do not survive to the next year) around 65%. The average crappie only lives about 3-4 years, in Arkansas, and they are very prolific spawners. Therefore, even if it is determined that LiveScope is having a negative effect under current regulations, it will take crappie populations very little time to recover after AGFC passes any potential new regulations deemed necessary. The bottom line is that AGFC fisheries biologists are evaluating LiveScope, along with anything else that may potentially affect the fisheries of Arkansas, and with due diligence will propose appropriate, scientifically defensible regulations if they are determined to be necessary to conserve the fisheries of Arkansas for future generations.
  24. Speaking of Keitechs, I rigged up one of these Shad Impacts on a chatterbait, made a couple of casts, really like the action, but haven't fished it yet.
