  1. Good deal! Did you go back in Indian Creek at all? Just curious as to the water color back there. Well curious as to what you saw as far as water color in the general area around the dam also. Much in the way of floating debris?
  2. Glad to see you can come! If possible, add your son in law as an OA member so he can qualify for the trophy if he gets the big one. You have to be an OA member to qualify for it.
  3. Welcome, and when you get out on Beaver, hopefully you can share some fishing stories with us!
  4. Cool, I am going to try and get to Eagle Rock about 0600-0615. I'm going to hang around the ramp for most of the day.
  5. Water color is about the same, may have cleared up just a bit.
  6. Bankers hours today, launched around 0930 and fished until 4 PM. Threw the #5 Shad Rap for most of the day, fish are still biting it, but you do have to find them. I caught 20 bass today, 10 of them came off a 100 yard stretch of bank, and three others off a short stretch, the other 7 were scattered. 5 keepers. I did catch one Ned fish. They still seem to like the brown water, up on the bank, I slow roll the Shad Rap in front of the buck brush and usually the bites occur when I am ticking bottom. They are not slamming it, usually they just load up WT 49-50. Hardly any junk in the water now, only saw one floater out in the channel. Controlled burn going on today, really smoked up one stretch of lake. Smoke on the water! This post has been promoted to an article
  7. That Duo looks pretty nice.
  8. Well I may just have to watch that game.
  9. Good to hear, sounds like there is a bite on!
  10. Heck, we the people are the invasive with the most impact.
  11. I like the new color "Ouachita Craw".
  12. NBA mock draft has him going at #3, I agree, why risk re-injuring your back, which if he did could really sink him in the draft.
  13. Sounds to me like he would be better served to play another year and move up (hopefully for him) into the first half of the first round. I think he has potential.
  14. That stinks, sorry to hear that.
  15. Hogs should be in, but sure would've helped with seeding if they had beaten Mizzou. I hope they don't go in as an 8 or 9 seed, because if you win that 8 vs 9 seed game you get to face the number 1 seed in the next round. The other Porter kid looked pretty good, I assume he is not a one and done?
  16. It was on the Shad Rap.
  17. Looks to be about 30 people.
  18. Holy Toledo! 8 hours of driving, 22 degrees, snow and ice, having to bushwhack over and through logjams, brush and slippery rocks - I am glad you landed one for the photo! I think you should blow that photo up, frame it, and hang it over the fireplace.
  19. Water is still dirty brown around Big M, not as many leaves in the water and not a lot of big stuff in the main channel, but keep an eye out when you are motoring as there are a few big pieces of wood out in the channel. I started off the morning throwing a Menace Grub on a 3/8 oz swing jig, caught my first fish on it, lost another one, then snagged up and broke it off. Both bites were right up on the bank, so I decided to switch to a #5 Shad Rap. I had noticed something Bo said in his report about the fish hitting his crank bait near the boat, so I thought it would be worth it to throw the minnow rather than bounce a crank off the bottom. Decent bite on the Shad Rap, very shallow fish, mostly dinks, but a lot of fun on the light spinning gear. Fish were in the muddy water, right on the bank. Caught a couple dozen with 4 keepers. Threw the Ned for a bit and caught one spotted bass on it. Had one hard puller that got off, I thought I had snagged a big limb, drug it towards the boat for maybe 2 seconds, just dead weight like a big limb, and then it started head shaking and pulling drag. Had it on for another 5 seconds or so and then it just pulled off. Didn't see what it was, I hate big mystery fish that get off. About 10 of my fish were smallmouth, all up very shallow. Fishing got slow around noon, I was out of there at 2 PM. A lot of boats out there today, I saw several bass caught by other fishermen. WT 48-50. A couple of pics, they didn't come out too well in the bright sun.
  20. Good luck, looks like it will be a really nice day weather wise.
  21. Good luck out there Randy!

  23. I think they should interview the kid and see how serious he is, do a background check, maybe a mental evaluation. If it was just a goofy kid thing then I don't see a need to charge him with a felony. That being said, if they let the kid go and he comes back as a shooter, then all heck is going to break out about the authorities not doing their job. Not to mention loss of life. Kind of sad to see things come to this, but that's the new reality.
  24. I don't need no more stinking baits, well actually I think I have a couple stored somewhere, now I get to spend a few hours looking for them.
  25. Bentonville high school kid busted yesterday. Terroristic threatening is a Class D felony. One of those dumb things a high school kid can do, but serious consequences. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- A Bentonville High School student was arrested Wednesday after threatening to use a gun on campus, police say. The Bentonville Police Department said the unnamed minor left a handwritten note with the threat on it. A second note was found later, authorities said. At 11:40 a.m., the 10th grade student was identified and arrested. No weapons were found on campus or with the student. Police said he faces a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening. The school district released this statement: "These situations occur in schools across the nation, unfortunately. We'll continue to respond with a zero-tolerance policy, considering both expulsion and felony criminal charges for any student found in violation."
