  1. Just saw on the news that the Bella Vista police talked a man down from the top of the water tower. Yep, it was Champ.
  2. Yes sir, please do.
  3. Looks like Billet head has the oil covered. Thanks!
  4. Good ideas Griz. Only other thing I can think of are buns for the pork, assuming pork sandwiches. Saturday night will be the night for the pork feed, Friday for the fish fry. If anyone wants to bring some side dishes or desserts, probably wouldn't hurt.
  5. Hey Brett, we are planning to do the fish fry Friday night. I would say bring the flathead, sounds like we have enough walleye for about 20, so we'll need that flathead as there may be another 10-15 people. Griz is bringing the puppies, taters, and onions, I'll bring cole slaw, tartar sauce, and ketchup so I think we got the fry covered. Do you have enough oil for the fryer? We can get someone to volunteer to bring oil I bet. Anything else we might need?
  6. Not a bad day, kind of weird you didn't get one or two on the blade.
  7. Couple of nice brown fish, thanks for the report!
  8. For sure, both places are very nice.
  9. Sounds good!
  10. Not much of a fine for that many fish over the limit.
  11. Walleye - sounds good!
  12. Awesome. Might not hurt if some of the other guys bring some side dishes or other stuff.
  13. Cool, you bringing a whole pig? Going to need a lot of pork.
  14. Cool, may be an option if we get a few more. We could also rent out the bunkhouse, sleeps 4 and is pretty reasonable, $100/night or something like that.
  15. Time to start talking food and who is bringing what. We've got 18 stayers and I am guessing 10 or so that might come over for dinner. So if we are planning a fish fry for example, we're going to need a lot of fish. Thursday night everyone is on there own. Do the fish fry Friday night? Saturday night, what should we do? Open to suggestions. Might be a good idea for some of us to bring lunch meat and bread for sandwiches for boat lunches. I'll probably bring a case or two of water and diet cokes. As far as other cold beverages, bring your own.
  16. It is confirmed, we have both lodges reserved. I believe Cedar can sleep 10 and River Villa 8, so we're right at the limit.
  17. LOL, you gotta love it, going from a BASS rule change to possible end of the world scenarios.
  18. BPS usually has them on sale during the Spring Classic sale, but I don't remember for how much.
  19. I always hate to hear someone say that we need to "grow the sport". There's enough of us out there, it doesn't get better if even more people take up bass fishing. Nothing wrong with taking kids or a friend out to fish, but the reason should be to take them fishing, not because we need to "grow the sport".
  20. I'd trade a few Flicker Shads for that mess of walleye. Cabelas has them on sale for $3.99 in the Bargain Cave. Congrats on some nice 'eyes!
  21. I would probably fish the dam area. Where exactly is always hard to say, but last week I saw a couple of striper boats in Indian creek.
  22. Didn't show if that guy landed the fish.
  23. I don't know why people get upset about what other people own or spend their money on. Just get out and fish and enjoy yourself. In spite of all the fancy boats out there and fancy tackle people are using, fish are still out there to be caught.
  24. Ned may not be a bad choice based on some of the recent reports of fish being caught on the Ned. With your light tackle preference, might be worth bringing some smaller minnow type cranks like a Flicker Shad/Shad Rap/BagleyBalsa Shad to throw on windy banks if there is wind this weekend. Might try some small finesse jigs that you can throw on your tackle.
  25. OK, I hear no objections to the lodging plan above, so we'll go with it.
