  1. Yep Norm, you'll beat it I'm sure. Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery.
  2. Thanks guys, I plan on being there for jigfest 4, leaner and meaner. Hope you all have some good fishing. Be sure and take some pics.
  3. OK ya'll are set up in the Cedar Gable (place we stayed at last year). Cost is $285/night, which is a bit of a discount. Remember to bring cash or check to pay. If there aren't enough beds, they can bring in extra beds. Just ask.
  4. That's funny, but I sure would not have liked that run in that cold. Just curious, what was the "secret"?
  5. A vast right wing conspiracy.
  6. AGFC's thinking on hogs mirrors MDC. Therefore, there is no hog hunting allowed on state wildlife management areas.
  7. Very nice, maybe a sign that the fish are getting active?
  8. Please, no more Wart type baits.
  9. Probably not, a good hack looking for data would not take the site down.
  10. 40-3 for the winner. And congrats to board member Little Jasper for 8th in the co-angler category.
  11. it's a silver and black Phoenix.
  12. I saw your truck, thought that might have been you.
  13. Something that walks and spits, and you can throw a country mile is an Evergreen Shower Blows.
  14. Brought some crappie jigs with me, planned of fishing for crappie for most of the day. Well after an hour of not getting a bite on the crappie stuff, I switched over to bass fishing. Mainly threw the Ned, 1/16 oz head. Decent quantity bite, but not one keeper. Caught 20 bass, not one largemouth, and only 2 brown fish, the rest were spots. Most were up shallow on rocky banks with deep water nearby. Lots of tournament boats zipping around. Water temp was hovering around 70.
  15. Nice fish! I'm thinking that with all the pressure during the mornings and early afternoon that the fish may be adapting and feeding in the evenings.
  16. Leader has 15-3.
  17. I hope a collector bought it, because that is the only thing that makes sense.
  18. If I was in this thing, and head 3-5 days to practice from sun up to sun down, and didn't mind burning gas, I would definitely search for deep bass haunts for spooning and the drop shot. I think if you could find them and stay on top of them, you have a shot at a limit. There's some decent large mouth out there too.
  19. Very nice. A good alternative to get away from the bass grind.
  20. A few interviews with a couple of the guys fishing TR for the Costa event. One guy from CA and one from FL, interesting to hear their perspectives. Also an interview with a local guy. I like hearing people talk fishing on this lake, pros or not. I also figured out why they are coming from as far away as CA to fish this, regional winner will get an invitation to fish the FLW Cup. 21. I'm thinking the same thing as Moguy, probably not noticeable to fish that little bit being left off. They look good!
  22. Chapman has thrown a lot of pitches the last 2 games. Could come back to haunt them.
  23. Even if a person decides to not get health care coverage, you can still get a physical and blood tests done. Then if something is found, you can sign up for coverage under the ACA and get it treated. Get the test done right before the open enrollment period.
  24. Welcome Slabster - Scroll down on the main page to the Beaver lake forum, there's some crappie info in that forum. Introduce yourself to those folks and they'll probably give you some general pointers.
  25. We did see some boats we suspected of being Costa rigs based on them having Power Poles. And there were more than normal buzzing around. Yeah 96, the temps are just stuck about 70-72. Looks like we'll get some colder weather in the next week.
