  1. Yeah if a guy could go back in time and travel with the Lewis and Clark expedition.
  2. Those fish need to eat!
  3. Did a search on trout stamp prints, found one of Al's stamps (signed) on Ebay. $25. Trout stamp collection would be a pretty neat thing to have.
  4. We are in the 10 day forecast window. It's looking about as good as you can get for this time of year.
  5. Bill Dance usually does a show every year with Donald Cranor. Maybe you've watched them, but if not, here's one:
  6. 6 degrees this AM. Thankfully no ice here.
  7. Reminds me of these two, I believe I have put these here before, but worth a re-run:
  8. Mark Andrews had a really bad day. Both of Sunday's games were good to watch.
  9. It was 5 degrees this morning, now with sunrise it has warmed up to 12.
  10. It was a great catch. Looking forward to the Bills/Ravens game today.
  11. Neither.
  12. I have never fished Tenkiller, but I hear it can be really good. I fish Beaver a lot, mostly down by the dam. October is a tough month for catching fish on that lake. Indian Creek campground is a nice one. I believe it closes Oct. 15 so there's that. The weather early in the month is nice. Fishing on the lake is tough that time of year and for sure you'll need a boat. I don't know that any of the marinas rent boats outside of pontoon boats. You can hire a guide for a day for less than renting one of those pontoons. If you stayed at Indian Creek you're about 10 miles from the tailwater at Beaver dam where you could trout fish from the bank. You're also about a 45 minute drive from the Roaring River trout park. Feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.
  13. Speaking of TD celebrations - The one where LaPorta caught a TD for the Lions, he laid on the ground with his arms crossed over his chest like he was dead, a couple of his teammates mimed digging a grave, then rolled the 'dead' LaPorta into the grave. There's some irony there I think, considering that the Lions went on to lose the game.
  14. He must have watched a few NBA videos on how to draw a foul. I give him credit on drawing that penalty when he slid at the last second when those 2 players were converging on him. That's skill. Do the Texans know that there's this guy named Kelce that can catch passes? Man that dude can get open.
  15. Lets see. I can load them into the gallery and then insert, so that part is working.
  16. Refs were friendly.
  17. I have talked to this guide at the Indian Creek dock a couple of times, he catches stripers. I have not fished with him, but he was personable and friendly. My guess is that if he is guiding on Beaver in March, you'll probably be fishing the upper end of the lake. Joe Farkas 479 640 2386
  18. Might pickup the 8" knife. I need something stouter for bigger fish like stripers. Slice through the rib bones, turn the fillet over and then trim out the ribs. When I did a Sitka salmon trip, back at the dock there were people that would fillet the salmon being brought in by the charters and guides. I watched them for a few minutes, they used big, stout knives, I'm guessing at least 12 inch blades. They'd fillet and trim out the bones/fins on a 10 lb. coho in well under a minute.
  19. Tom knows a lot of fishermen. He'll probably read this, but if not, I'll tell him you said hi.
  20. It was windy from the get-go here in Bella Vista. I talked to Tom, he went fishing today on TR and said it was calm for 3 hours then the wind came on strong out of nowhere. They had a good morning of catching before the wind came up.
  21. I have a Rapala also. Fillet a few fish, stop and sharpen, repeat. I'd like to have one that keeps its edge.
  22. "I must be in the front row!" One of the best lines in a commercial.
  23. Yes, it would be neat to see. Can you toss it on a spinning rig?
  24. It was a funny trip, caught a few early, then not many at all for about 4 hours, then a few late. We did get a few decent fish, Dutch got a 3 lb. largemouth and a fat 17" spot, I got one of those fat spots too. I talked to Tom W today and he caught a 5.7 LM on a jerkbait. He's got a buddy that caught a 5.14 on a spoon. Both of these gentlemen are over 80, good day for the geezers! 😃 Durn wind supposed to blow tomorrow then back into the fridge we go, I'd like to get out again soon, but looks to be another week at least for tolerable weather for me. Thanks for the trip buddy!
