Yeah based on the picture, I would say white bass. A nice one for sure, but that size is not unusual for Table Rock.

Well if we have another OA One Bass tourney next March, and as of now I think we will, I don't think you'll see any fall out from these discussions. People on this site are pretty good folks once you meet them in person and I really doubt (and hope) anyone will carry over any hard feelings. Some of the folks on here that have had the strongest things to say are actually some of the best people you will ever meet.

20 yards is pretty bad. But you're right, best just to leave. If it's any consolation, they are probably lousy fishermen and incapable of finding fish, that's why they pulled in on you. Competent fishermen don't do that stuff.

Yep, a crappie. That pond may be stuffed with them if it doesn't get any pressure. Maybe try slow reeling a white crappie jig a couple of feet under a small cork. That is if you want to target them.

Has to be some reel repair places that can fix them. Seems a shame to toss them, outside of the binding issue, they are a great reel.
