  1. Good deal, hope you get some more - Eagle Rock needs more brown fish! If the wind was blowing up there like it was in Bella Vista last night, I tip my hat to you at being able to catch fish in that stuff and at night to boot.
  2. They're Wiggle Warts, not going to break me financially to pick up a few new ones.
  3. Good to hear, I may have to dig them out of the back of my tackle box and give them another try.
  4. Nice!
  5. That was quick turn around Tim, thanks!
  6. Was going to order some today, took a close look and they are "available for backorder". Grrrrrr...I guess I won't be placing any orders.
  7. My 2 cents on the kids fishing aspect of it is why not raise and stock massive numbers of hand sized bluegill? Kids just want fast action and easy to catch fish. Stock a few big catfish just to add some lunker potential. I don't have anything against the urban trout stocking programs, it's done here in Arkansas also, but IMO if you want to get a young child interested in fishing, I would not recommend starting them off fishing for trout.
  8. Was taking a look at the WW's on the BPS site and they have some new colors. Phantom Green Blue Craw Phantom PBn'J Craw Peanut Butter and Jelly Craw I may have to purchase a couple of these.
  9. Were you and Champ about a mile from the mouth of the Kings about noonish? If so, I might have seen you as I drove by going down river. If I would have known it was you folks I would've stopped and said howdy.
  10. That is one heckuva a wallie. I've talked to some walleye guys that are regulars and fish out of Big M and it has been tough for them this fall, they'd love to get one like that right now.
  11. Fished the White river channel down river from Big M and also fished up the Kings for a couple of miles. Much better bite in the Kings, threw a spinner bait (per Champ) for the Kings fish, and caught a couple in the White on jigs and a pencil popper. Caught about a dozen total. If I had a chance to do it over again, I would have just fished the Kings. Water temp 64.
  12. I'm sure a guy to get a bass to eat one, but at that price I'm going to pass.
  13. Sounds like he has had a real battle, but things are looking good. http://www.bassfan.com/news_article.asp?ID=5068#.VFTqr34o6Ul
  14. Wow, that is awesome - glad to see the bite is on. I've had the pleasure of fishing with Champ, great guy to fish with, good company and a knowledgeable fisherman.
  15. Good read, thanks for posting.
  16. Yeah I hear you on that, makes it tough when balls 3 inches out of the zone are called strikes. One minor annoyance I found with Fox's coverage is they don't show the strike zone box on every pitch. Got used to seeing it all the time during the regular season, takes the guess work out of it for the viewer. Don't need it for obvious strikes or balls, but I like it better than showing the pitch from over the plate (hard to judge height of the pitch) or if they replay a pitch that shows the batter, you can't seen where the ball crosses the plate.
  17. So, do you guys think river flow will be about the same as last year? Or is it pretty random? I need to order some jigs, last year 1/8 oz was working pretty well and also 1/16. If I recall black/olive worked really well for me.
  18. Good stuff
  19. Yep, very cool pic, thanks for posting!
  20. Tough to see them lose, Giants played a good game. One thing the Royals need to work on is plate discipline. Bumgarner is tough enough, you don't need to help him out by swinging at pitches that are a foot out of the strike zone.
  21. Win or lose, it's very cool seeing the Royals take it to game 7 of the WS.
  22. Excellent!
  23. It was a tough day, I fished from 0730 to 1230 and only caught one decent spot - that fish came on a tube fished about 15 feet deep off a chunk rock bank. Had a few bites early on a creature up shallow near some running water and one bite on the buzzer. Early in the afternoon, got desperate and started fishing a whacky rigged Senko on some docks sitting over deep water - caught several nice spots pitching it back into the stalls and off the stall ends. Fished it weightless and let it slowly sink, bites would come usually after it sunk 5 - 10 feet. Wished I had found this bite earlier as I believe if a person stuck to fishing docks over deep water, you could catch a few. Water temp 67
  24. That's what I'm thinking, Ventura on the mound, if he's on his game they have a fighting chance. Win that one and I think we'll have an interesting game 7.
  25. Thanks for the report, that's a good day. Thought about trying a jerker myself last time I was out.
