  1. Has a slower, vertical fall (at least from what I see on that video) than the horizontal, faster falling Duo. That could be a good thing I suppose. I still haven't had much luck on the Duo except on aggressive schooling fish.
  2. Those are some sweet looking baits..

    Idiots

Should be the last hurrah for the nitwits, colder weather is coming.
  4. Nice looking pup! Name?
  5. Well you my get a chance with the win last night - unless the Royals take the next two games. Another great game, but I'm going to get an ulcer watching these close games. Putting Cain in right field makes Yost look like a genius. Cain made a couple of catches that maybe Aoki would not been able to get to.
  6. Rock Crawler....sounds like something that will work around here. Spro?
  7. Nice one!
  8. I know what you mean, but have to laugh at that misspell. Good luck on your trip!
  9. Pete is getting them, drop shot and spoons in 40-70 FOW. Ugh.. http://www.hookedonbass.com/FISHREPORT.htm
  10. I agree, I thought it would be a better day with the cloud cover. Could be other folks out on the lake did well doing something different than I was.
  11. Must have been super loud. I've been to a few MLB games, but never a WS game.
  12. Looks like a couple of River Runts in the top right, 2nd picture. Have a few of those myself, caught a few bass on them in my younger days. The ones I have are probably 40-45 years old.
  13. Forecast called for clouds and a bit of rain and that's what it was. I though the clouds might make things good for the buzz bait, but only caught one early on it. Caught some fish on the 1/2 oz FB jig, and ran across a school surface feeding off a point and caught some on the Yozuri pencil popper on top. Caught a double on it, big fish being a 17" Mean. Caught 15 bass total, spots, a Mean, and a couple of 12" smallies. Not one Large Mouth. Fish were scattered and hard to pattern. Caught some on a gravel point, a few in cuts in bluff walls, a couple off deep trees, and some off a dock. But you could catch some off a gravel point for example and then fish another several points and not get a bite. Had a few chase the jig back to the boat, including one pretty good sized bass. Might have been worth a shot to swim a jig or try some cranks. Maybe next time. Water temp 67.
  14. Ventura got it done! Good to see some runs scored off the Giants pen.
  15. Sorry to hear about your loss. I hate thieves. If it happened to me, I would not let it stop me from fishing, but I understand how you feel right now.
  16. Yeah Duffy did look good, I wonder if they'll think about starting him instead of Shields? That would be a radical move, I doubt they would do it, but Shields was a disaster last night. I'm wondering if he has too many miles on the odometer. It happens, look at Verlander or Lincecum for example. Great pitchers that throw a lot of innings, lose a little velocity and haven't been able to adjust to being a "finesse" pitcher. Hard to know if that is the case with Shields.
  17. Shields has been shaky throughout the playoffs, but last night was pretty brutal. If it goes to game 5 I imagine he's slated to start, I hope he can pull it together by then.
  18. Great seats!
  19. Don't know if you guys know this, but you can google "Player X splits", for example "James Shields splits" and you'll get a breakdown on the players stats, home, away,vs lefties, vs righties, turf, grass etc.
  20. Yep, good advice!
  21. I read a book a while back, I don't remember the exact title but it was something like "Tournament winning strategies from a Pro". Don't remember the author either, but one of his top tips was to find out where the tournament release sites are and fish them.
  22. Congrats on a great trip for this time of year!
  23. Excellent, good to see folks having fun and catching fish!
  24. Just to counter Jerry's negative vibes.. Cards defence was truly wretched, play good D and they could still be playing. I expect KC's D to be much better. KC can run on Posey. Starting pitching looks to match up pretty well, KC's bullpen is better. It SHOULD be a close series.
  25. They start the game burning almost 8 minutes off the clock, march down the field, score a TD, then it takes GA all of a minute and a half to answer. I'm tired of watching opposing receivers get behind the AR secondary and making big plays. Play calling drives me crazy also, they run the ball well the first series they have it, then come out throwing the 2nd and 3rd series? You have to throw every once in a while to keep the other guys D honest, but it is not AR's strength at all. Georgia is looking strong right now.
