  1. I call him "Dummy", he has to be stupid to bite my stuff.
  2. I can't find a smallmouth to save my life.
  3. Chisox rolled over today - Bums!
  4. And kudos to Mississippi State, they will be a tough out in the SEC.
  5. Water tempos were 75-77.
  6. One heck of a foggy morning, and cold - truck thermometer said 47. And there I was in my shorts and hoodie, it was a tad cool, but I survived. Because od the fog, I couldn't get where I wanted to go, so did some drop shotting off Viney, caught a few short spots doing that, and finally the fog cleared and I was able to go down lake a ways to where the fish were thick last Friday. Not nearly as many in that spot, caught 7 or eight decent spots on the Drop shot in 15-30 FOW. Might have been a keeper or two in there, I just eyeball them and make an estimate as they are all going back. Very little top water activity so no top water fish for me today. Fished a jig on 45 degree chunk rock banks and bluffs - they've shown up on that stuff, picked up mostly spots doing that and one nice 2.5 lb. LM. Boated a little north of 20 bass today. Drop shot spot that came on the Motor Oil Finesse worm: Jig eating spot off a chunk rock bank: Jig eating LM off the same bank:
  7. Good question. I PM'd him a couple of weeks ago - haven't heard back from him.
  8. Yeah, go Chisox!
  9. I did not know that some of the Godfather's had a chicken buffet - I'd do that instead of the pizza.
  10. Great day Ham!
  11. I was throwing one for a bit Friday at schooling fish, I put one in the boat on it while Jeb probably caught 1/2 dozen in the same time frame on a spoon. I put it away at that point.
  12. Thanks Champ, glad to see you and the better half got into them!
  13. Thanks for the report Bill.
  14. Looks like they are cancelling again today. I think the plan now is to fish Monday.
  15. Might be looking at a wild card spot.
  16. Nice to see those bigger fish!
  17. If there's not 6" of snow on the ground, we might be able to sit around a campfire in the evening also.
  18. They should be embarrassed, good grief!
  19. I'm fine with the filming.
  20. Happy Birthday Phil!
  21. I bet it gets pretty nasty out there in a strong wind.
  22. Went out today in my good friend Jeb's boat, got to hold down the back deck and make sure it didn't float away. We started at dawn, fished a few points with c-rigs and jigs and pulled out a few bass to start the day, after doing that for an hour or so we started motoring down the lake towards the mouth of the Kings. On the way there, Jeb spotted some schooling bass chasing shad on a do nothing beach area that we usually just pass by on the way to wherever it is we are going. We probably caught around 50 bass in that area, spoons, topwater, and drop shot. Typical fish would be a 14" spot at about 1.5 lbs. Some were smaller, a few bigger. Also a few largemouth, mean mouth, and one smallie. Just a huge school of black bass chasing shad in 20-40 FOW. All told we caught around 70 bass today, maybe 10 were at 15" or better. Sun came out about 11 AM and it got tough after that, and we were off the water about 2 PM. Water temp was 75.
  23. Might be worth a shot, I'm just not much of a braid fan.
  24. Very nice!
  25. Yep, I don't see any reason not to bring him. Except that if the fishing was as good as last year, he may get spoiled.
