  1. I should add, you may see some BVPD out there, but this isn't a BVPD is writing some tickets to make some money thing, it's coming from somewhere else, state or maybe county.
  2. I did see some mid-channel top water activity, so I think there are some out deep, but I could not find any. I have also seen shad schools up near the steep banks, they may be spawning. Small gills are on the banks also. Lots of stuff going on, but I'm not seeing the bass activity you'd think you'd see this time of year.
  3. It's not the BVPD, State Troopers.
  4. Last year I was driving on 49/540/71 (whatever the number of that HWY is) on Sunday afternoon on Wakarusa weekend and saw the same thing in the north bound lanes. A little over done in my opinion.
  5. I think somebody goes out and has a good day and it becomes a "hot spot".
  6. Fished out of Big M the last 2 mornings, fishing has slowed considerably for me, caught about 15 both days, best bite has been on a Trick worm c-rigged. A couple of top water fish on the Mikey and a couple on a Megabug fished on a wobble head. Can't find any fish deeper that 10 feet, the ones I've been catching are right up on the bank. Had a few decent fish, several fat keeper sized K's and a couple 2-3 lb. LM's. Experienced the joy of hooking myself this morning, tried to lip a K with a face full of Mikey, got one of the tines from the tail-end treble through the bottom outside of my pinky finger. Lots of fun with a frisky K still attached to the lure. Fortunately (I think) the barb came out the other side of my finger, so after getting the K off, I was able to snip the hook point and barb off and back the hook out. I'm netting all, and I mean all, Mikey fish from now on. 3 sets of sharp trebles flying around are just trouble waiting to happen. Water temps 78 - 79.
  7. Yeah bad deal all around.
  8. Thanks for the report, and glad to hear you got some good fishing!
  9. Excellent, glad to hear you got into them!
  10. Great area to live in, especially if you like to river fish for trout. You've also got Bull Shoals lake nearby. Not much in the way of upland birds however.
  11. Yep looks like a good idea on that fluke.
  12. Don't know how close you are to Shell Knob, but Sports Boats in Shell Knob is selling Ned heads made by board member Danger Close.
  13. Never realized that small tackle manufacturers had to pay that 10% tax.
  14. Nice one!
  15. That's some great fishing!

    Crowded Out

It's really annoying to get cut off.
  17. Walleye seem to be doing really well in Beaver and TR this year, been picking up one or two just about every time out while bass fishing. Mostly keepers also, usually this is not the case for me. Never been over to Bull Shoals, but word has it they are knocking them dead there. Kudos to the AGFC walleye team.
  18. An inch a month, that's pretty impressive.
  19. Ask Jason Essary to post the Mill Creek night tourney results - those guys always have some big bags.
  20. HAHA, that is funny! And as said above, by coming here you've come to the right place for "Help".
  21. That is a huge gill for sure!
  22. I'm still looking for one of those..
  23. I hate chiggers...
  24. Me and my buddy Jeb were out there yesterday, it was certainly slower than the past weeks have been, but we did find some fish. With the light winds and flat calm, we found that it helps to find a bank or point with a breeze on it, the bite also picked up a bit during the rain that fell later in the morning. Most of our fish were on Carolina rigs, with a few on top water. Best baits were Zoom UV Speed Craws and Zoom Ol' Monster worms. We didn't go back in the coves, mainly fished main channel stuff, points and just inside coves.
