  1. Thanks for the report. That's an action packed 2 hour fishing trip! Did you see any of the Elite boys up there?
  2. Hmmm something is "fishy" here. What was the date yesterday?
  3. 5 million $ a year??? WTH! The mind is boggled. Do you think he'll "pick up and leave"? Who would give him a better deal? You're stuck with him for 5 years, unless he gets in a motorcycle crash involving a blonde that is not his wife.
  4. That's the downside to these tournaments - lots of fish get relocated.
  5. You had me at first - then I saw Mitch's post...
  6. I'm looking at the calendar...
  7. Top paid coach in the SEC?? That's a bit of a surprise. Also that they gave him 5 years.
  8. I like it! Good on you to make up those baits for your daughter!
  9. Launched right before 7 AM and fished until 3 PM. Fish were really tough early, but later in the morning and in to early afternoon the bite picked up. Rocky banks and points with a breeze on them were best. Caught 18 bass, mostly spots, a few LM's and a couple of smallies. Caught 7 or 8 keepers all in the 15 -17 inch range. For some reason I can't get a big bite. I'm no big fish specialist, but even so, usually this time of year I'll pick up a big fish every now and then, but it's not happening. I can't even tell stories of the big one that got away. Tubes are still working, picked up a few on the Spro McStick, and several on the Wart. Wart fish were all 12' or so bank running males. Lots of wrapped boats flying around the White today. They are really working over the rocky points. Spotted bass bite has picked up, and they are moving in relatively shallow on the rocky banks. Water temps 49 - 51.
  10. I was up the White around Big M today, lots of wrapped boats up there. I think every rocky point got fished at least twice by those guys. A lot of them going back in coves also. No idea how they were doing, but I'm sure they were catching some.
  11. Nice ones!
  12. Put your Redfins away boys, Johnny Rat is in da house! http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Johnny_Rat_Wakebait/descpage-JRAT.html
  13. Looks like they are going to see 4 kinds of weather for the 4 days. This should be a very interesting tournament. I hope they do a good job with the TV coverage.

    Baseball!

Red Sox vs Orioles and Cards vs Reds this afternoon on the ESPN's. I have the DVR locked and loaded.
  15. 2 teams from the "weak" SEC now in the final 4. I can't root for FL or KY however, so for now I'm a Wisconsin fan.
  16. That is a toad of a spot - I am jealous!
  17. I'm eyeballing getting out there Tuesday myself.
  18. Hope all goes well for your wife!
  19. Welcome!
  20. I drove past the park yesterday about 11:30 towing my bass boat. You are right about a lot of people being out.
  21. Adios Dayton.
  22. Fished from noon until 6 PM. There was a decent bite from about noon until 4 PM on windy banks, good numbers, but not the greatest quality. I caught 20 bass, but only 6 keepers, a couple of 2.5 lb. LM's were the big fish. Fish came on the Wart, 4.5 inch Black/blue flake Yamamoto flipping tube, and the Ned rig. Also picked up a near keeper walleye on the Ned. Had a couple of hangups today on the Ned where as I moved the boat over to free the snag, a bass picked up the hung Ned. This happens every once in a while when I'm fishing jigs or t-rigged plastics, but I've never had it happen twice in a day. Funny when it happens. I always say thank you to the bass when they help me out like that Water temps 48 - 50.
  23. That's a nice bass!
