  1. Some of the swim baits out there make a Megabass 110 look like a bargain.
  2. They look like fish catchers.
  3. This guy would be a much better bait than the redfin minnow. Especially in dirty water.
  4. Wrestling is a great sport that doesn't get the attention it should deserve. Watched Arkansas collapse yet again at Tennessee. They had an 8 point lead with 10 minutes or so left to play and blew it again. They played really tough D, but their offense evaporated once again, they were missing shots badly, taking bad shots, not even hitting the rim. Last couple of minutes players started passing instead of taking open shots - it appears this can't win on the road, blowing a lead thing has gotten into their heads. They should have won last night, they fumbled it away. Frustrating.
  5. Did a search on the Giggy stick, it's looking like they might be out of production, Basstackledepot has some in stock, but limited color selection. The Gambler site has some in 50 count bags, but again, limited colors.
  6. Ok, will do.
  7. Yes, I'd like to also hear how it goes.
  8. Never have done the Alka-Selzer thing.
  9. I saw that show, I agree catching those hogs on a top water would be a hoot.
  10. Some nice quality bows there, thanks for the report!
  11. I watched about 5 minutes of the guy in the video - "That river has miles of land around it, MILES!!". No kidding...
  12. "Set off a record ice storm" - man, that's funny! That's one of the things that keeps me from making the trip, not so much ice storms, but I hear that the wind can really blow at Fork and blow for days.
  13. Makes you wonder if these guys even listen to their coaches anymore, and I'm not just talking about Mizzou, just seems like the disciplinarian type coach, a Bob Knight for example, is vanishing from the college game.
  14. When I was looking at boats, I talked with a fellow who had fished the B.A.S.S. circuit and was a life long TR fisherman. He loved to fish tubes - that's what got me started on them. I have fished some Dry Creek 3 1/2" tubes, single walled, they have a color they call "Mud", kind of a cross between GP and brown - I've picked up fish on it. TW doesn't carry that color, you have to go to the Dry Creek website to get it. This is an interesting looking product they have just come out with for shakey heads. Long, skinny tube. I'm thinking maybe put a piece of Styrofoam in tube near the tentacles and get a nice stand up effect. http://www.drycreekoutfitters.com/product_p/590-dc.htm
  15. I wouldn't worry about trying to be as good as the guys who weight the 20 lb. sacks, unless you want to be a tourney fisherman (and be competitive). Get out, fish, and have fun.
  16. I keep thinking that one of these days I'm going to get down and fish Fork.
  17. Watched some of that LSU game last night, good game as far as it being competitive, I was hoping Mizzou could pull it out, but it didn't happen. I don't know if it's me, but it seems these days college BB teams are so undisciplined.
  18. So many ways to rig a tube, so little time... I watched a "Hook and Look" show a couple of weeks ago, they fished Bull last spring and were tossing the tube, stupid rigged, on spinning tackle. They have a diver doing some underwater filming, and they were showing the smallies come up and grab the tube as it was falling through the water. Pretty neat to see.
  19. Good idea, I'll give it a shot next time I'm out.
  20. They need to figure out how they're going to call those pick plays, if they are going to allow WR's to get away with that kind of stuff, then they should let DB's layout WR's as they come across the middle. (Before the ball is in the air).
  21. I'm not a bettor, mainly just interested to see what the line is. It will be interesting to see how this game is officiated, I expect it to be physical, especially the match up between Denver's receivers and the Hawks DB's. The refs are either going to clamp down right away, or let it slide. They're going to have to walk the fine line between keeping things under control or turning into a flag fest. Nobody wants a flag fest. My bet is a physical game.
  22. Just when I start to think that I've got a pretty good sized stash of fishing stuff....Good idea on the peg board.
  23. Very nice fish! Yeah I would not have thought of throwing them this early either.
  24. I do get hung up every once in a while as you can imagine.
  25. Welcome!
