  1. I like the upper end, I'm not going to say it's the best fishing on Table Rock, but there's a healthy bass population and you can catch them all year long. More of a numbers fishery than a big fish fishery, but there are good sized bass in the area. Good walleye fishing, relatively speaking, read RPS posts for some insight. I'd be happy to answer (or at least attempt to answer ) any specific questions you have, feel free to PM me.
  2. That HR by Adams was a thing of beauty.
  3. When they're that bad, I set that rod aside for the day and after I come home, out come the scissors.
  4. You may have a point there, I was fishing with him the day it happened. Right before I made the fateful cast, I remember him saying "look over there at that babe in the bikini!" I spent 10 minutes scanning the shore where he was pointing, saw no babes, let alone ones wearing bikinis. I thought it was due to my poor eyesight that I didn't see her, but now I'm re-thinking the entire situation.
  5. I think there may be a place or two around Springfield MO, don't know if WC is willing to go that far.
  6. HAHA, yeah it's a 704 cb, dang rod it's all it's fault, it could not have been anything I did.
  7. These cool nights may get them going over there.
  8. When a Gunfish somehow magically unties itself from your line a split second after you begin your cast. Gunfish flies about 75 yards away (fortunately they float) and I ended up with this.
  9. Digging the Warts out of storage.....
  10. Thanks for the report, may make it out there Friday.

    Chiefs

I listened to the SVP and Rusilow show on ESPN radio today for a bit. They were doing their top 5 NFL teams where each of them list who they think are the top 5. Both of them had Chiefs at #5. Denver is #1 on the list.
  12. I've seen a thread where some folks showed an interest in being a marshal, just got an email from Bass Master saying that registration is open. Here's the link for those who are interested. http://www.bassmaster.com/marshal
  13. Tuned in just when Alvarez hit the homer, didn't realize it was the first hit until I saw the line score. Is this going to be another "Cardiac Cards" playoff run?
  14. How is it a free ride? You'll still get billed if you don't have insurance. Of course, people may not be able to pay, or decide they have other priorities for there money, but I'm not seeing a free ride anywhere. There's more likelihood of a free ride under the ACA than there was prior. it's just that the money spent will come out of the treasury, instead of being dumped on the providers. It's heavily subsidized health care, not that I have a problem with that, but it's not "reform" and costs are still the same, but it's going to be paid by the government. Our 17 trillion dollar in debt government.
  15. Nice mess of fish fry makings.
  16. Good job, coming away with 8 keeper crappie on Beaver is a good trip.
  17. Yeah I have a friend that is an ER nurse, plenty of folks come to the ER when they have a cold or a flu thinking that they can receive some magic pill that will cure their cold. They'll sit and wait, as they are not a priority, and when there's time, they'll get some Nyquill or whatever and sent on their way. I guess with the ACA they'll clog up the doctor's waiting room instead of the ER, which is a good thing. But not good if you're trying to see that doctor yourself.
  18. I can go to the emergency room and get heart bypass surgery?
  19. That's purely wishful thinking. And please tell me the hospital that is giving life saving treatments for free. And if that's the case, why sign up for Obama care if you can get free treatment?
  20. How do insurance rates go down if they have to pay, in your example, $80,000 for this procedure, and in the past, as this person would not have been covered, they would have paid zero? And in the past, if you were not covered, you would not have gotten the bypass as the hospital can deny treatment. If anything the ACA will create more demand for medical services, thus driving up prices. Forget about the idea of the ACA lowering insurance rates or medical costs. What the ACA doesis use taxpayer money to subsidize insurance costs. You want to make sure that costs go up, no better way that to start throwing government money at it.
  21. You're pointing out one of the many flaws to the ACA. Also even if you meet the deductible, many of the plans still will only pay 60-80% of the bill. Folks using these plans can still face massive medical bills, and it's most iikely the poorer folks will select the cheaper plans with the high deductibles and low co-pay. Oh well, it's not going away, best thing we can do is to fix it and make sure it is adequately funded. I don't want to give the impression that I'm pro-Obama care, it's an unbelievably poorly written, flawed piece of legislation, but unfortunately we're stuck with it.
  22. That GA back, Todd Gurley did not play yesterday (sprained ankle). That guy is a premier back, big and fast. If he's back 100% next week, Mizzou better be ready to play some tough run defense.
  23. Congrats to Mizzou, it would be fun to watch an underdog emerge in the SEC and win the SEC championship (I realize that is extremely unrealistic), but still possible (remotely) at this point.
