  1. Great fish you go there, thanks for sharing. Looks like a big jig.
  2. Yeah get back to work and leave us alone.
  3. Can't you just use regular, easy to clean fish? I had to bring a gar into my boat the other day, let my plastic worm sit on the bottom too long and that dang gar snapped it up. Dang things are slimy and that slime stinks and doesn't come off easy.
  4. I might try a suspend strip or two, but doggone it, I'm not putting any rubber core sinkers on my line and casting that whole shebang.
  5. LOL, if I can create hurricanes by posting on OA, then things have gotten really weird.
  6. That's really bad...if a tournament can't keep it's members fish alive they should end the tournament at least during the summer. Use some common sense, sheesh.
  7. Great article, thanks for posting!
  8. Saw this new product on Tackle Warehouse. Looks like a Keitech knockoff. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lunker_City_Grubster_Swimbait_10pk/descpage-LCGRBST.html#multiview
  9. What to gar have to do with egg rolls?
  10. My prediction is that the remnants of a hurricane will blow through here in August. We'll get 12 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. Beaver will be at 1129 at the end of August.
  11. I've thrown them around for a few casts lately but only caught one dink. I like Josh's idea of throwing them on bluffs, I'll have to try that. The walleye trollers always complain about catching bass when they are trolling cranks so the darn things must work.
  12. Been using Zoom Finesse worms in Old Purple or Plum. The fish have been aggressive, I've been getting quite a few bites on the fall. But the fish seem to be moving a lot so it's hard to stay on top of them.
  13. Leopards are now establishing themselves in Indiana. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/24/leopard-killed-indiana-video_n_3491338.html
  14. Dang Jason, you almost won it!
  15. They do, they are strong.......Like Bull!
  16. Soak the Mighty Walleye in buttermilk? That's like putting ketchup on a T-bone.
  17. On the point at 0515, fish started biting soon after that, c-rig Zoom Ol Monster and a Megabug fished on a Biffle head both worked well for about 45 minutes. It's a bite almost every cast for a while then it shuts off completely. Caught some decent LM's and Spots on that early bite then went looking for more fish. Fished some brush with the Jika and only had one hook-up, after doing that for a while and doing some c-rigging and not getting a bite, I moved to a drop shot point and picked up spotted bass here and there on the drop shot. Not a great DS bite, but managed to put a dozen or so DS fish in the boat. Wind started blowing pretty hard, wake boats were appearing so by noon I was on the trailer. Seems to me the spots are a bit bigger on average this year than last year, good percentage of the spots I caught on the DS were around that magic 15" mark. Lots of fun on a light DS spinning rod. Water temp 84.
  18. Excellent, glad to hear you had a good trip!
  19. Thanks for the report, pretty much been my experience lately, a great early bite, then things get tough until you go to the drop-shot.
  20. I think I'd skip the buttermilk soak, but the rest looks good!
  21. Excellent!
  22. Ol' Tommy Biffle pulls it off. Aaron Martens is 2nd (this is the 10th time he's finished second in an Elite or Classic). http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/2013-elite-series-mississippi-river-rumble/leaderboard
  23. Great fishing, quality fish once again! I'm itching to get back out there.
  24. Thanks for the report Josh. I've been getting some on the OL Monster early, but haven't fished it later in the day. Sounds like I'll have to keep tossing it.
