March will be here before you know it, and Saturday, March 11 will be the day for our OA One Bass tournament. Start at 0630, end at 2 PM out of the Eagle Rock COE ramp. M&M (Mike) is getting the permits, I believe we have the Regatta permit and are working on getting the COE permit. So who will take home the trophy this year? OA tourney 1 winner - Kbilb OA tourney 2 winner - Little Jasper OA tourney 3 winner - Your moniker here?

I am recovering from knee surgery, but if not I would be out there chasing black bass. Dependent on the weather, I won't go if it does not get over 32. These 8 degree mornings they have predicted coming up, no way I am fishing.

Thanks a bunch folks for the best wishes, it really feels good to hear that from you all. I hope you all have time to keep me and everyone else updated on the fishing, it will be a while before I am out again, but I always enjoy reading everyone's reports. Recovery is gong well, pain is not as bad as I expected, and I can get around using the walker. If all goes well, I hope I can get out there again in 4-6 weeks.

I hope to get out there next year. Good to see the birds are back. Busting that drought that was going on a couple of years ago made a big difference. -
It's been a tough fall (except for spoon fish), I have had a couple of good days, but then next time out it will be tough. I have one of those good days, and I think that this is it, the good bite is on, I found a pattern, I found where they are at, etc., but it just doesn't hold up. How much longer until spring?

Wow, great fishing guys! I'm curious as to what you guys who stayed overnight thought as far as the lodging, I think you might have had 10 one night, did it work out well? Already looking to next year and wanted to see if things worked out OK, or if we might want to think about 2 lodges/cabins for next year.

I've heard the pheasant hunting has been good the last couple of years, had some good rain out there that busted the drought. I have a bird dog, but won't be able to go tis year because of a bad knee. Getting that knee fixed soon, so I hope to get back after them next year. Mike you may want to scout out that new AR wildlife area, the Devils Eyebrow, which is up off the Indian Creek area, I have seen turkeys up there by the lake in the past. I don't know what the regs are for that area, so you'd need to check.

One of those days where it was flat calm early in the AM, then got blow your hat off windy later in the morning. Caught about 15 bass, only one made the keeper ,mark. Mix of all types, LM, smallies, spots and a mean. Got a few on the Ned, a few on a spinner bait (very shallow off wind blown gravel), and a few on the Rock Crawler. WT 58-59.
