  1. Dutch meant that we fished a different type of structure. I did catch them on a Ned. Caught 29 bass all on the same rig, a half Zinker glued to one of Dtrs Ozark Finesse heads. If I had a personal great baits Hall of Fame, I'd put that one in there, but since I don't, I'll be throwing it next time out. I did try a little tube for a while and a Keitech, but threw those in the skunk areas.
  2. Jeff was reluctant to go out early in the cold, however the forecast called for a warm day. It hit 64 degrees on my way home. Had the window down while driving.
  3. Dutch gets all the credit for finding the spot. A lot of fish on the depth finder, looked like one of Dockinit's screen shots.
  4. The food and company was great! Got there about 1130, the duck poppers came off the grill soon after, and it was like a conveyor belt of ridiculously good food. I was eating from about 1145 to almost 2 PM, with some conversation breaks in between of course, but I really put some food away. Duck Poppers - I never knew duck could be so good. Fried walleye and crappie - Don't know who made the batter, but it was excellent, and the fish was cooked to perfection. Assorted sausages, brats and dogs from the grill - Excellent! Cody's crawfish etoufee - He could open a restaurant in New Orleans and be very successful! Oatmeal Cake and some kind of whipped cream pineapple cake - I mixed them together and had ate 2 bowls of it, superb! There was some other stuff that I missed unfortunately, a guy can only eat so much. Good to see everyone, thanks to Phil for hosting, Here's a pic of most of the gang, caught this at just at the moment DC3 bounced a paper wad off the side of Les's head.
  5. Happy Birthday Mr. Babler!
  6. Check this one out - dark background with white numbering shows up good in photos. Reasonable. Rite Hite Marine Official Bass Measuring Board | Tackle Warehouse
  7. We did hear a boat motor start up then fade away into the distance...😃
  8. No way I'm going north of the Missouri border in Jan/Feb.
  9. Few years ago came back from bird hunting in Kansas, must have been one of TJM's migration deals because it seemed like there was one perched about every half mile.
  10. It's funny about boat traffic, did not see one other fishing boat on Beaver today on the lower end.
  11. What no salad for us now? I was looking forward to that more than anything else.
  12. Brrrr....no way I'm ice fishing in Minnesota in Jan/Feb.
  13. Caught one yet? Has to be a tough one to get on the species count.
  14. Looks a lot like a ling cod. And I believe they are somewhat related to lings.
  15. Pretty common here in Bella Vista. Usually have at least one pair around the house every spring. Pretty neat to see them flying low to the ground through the woods dodging trees.

    RIP Melanie

    She is. RIP.
  17. I am bringing plastic utensils but that will be for Saturday. Are you saying you have 5 lbs. of dogs so I don't need to bring any?
  18. I'll be happy to bring some dogs.
  19. I haven't seen the pavillion, so it is small? Bring the rain gear, LOL. But yeah, if we need to go indoors it would be nice to have a place to go to.
  20. It is tough enough to manage a 20 gallon aquarium, I wish the OP the best of luck and have fun with it!
  21. Covered pavillion as I understand it, so we should be out of the rain.
  22. If you got the money, I got the time. 😄
  23. Plan on checking them today.
  24. It has finally melted here. Temps in the upper 30's now. Later on this week we are predicted to see 50's. The snow will be gone along with the bitter cold, I may get out and fish.
