I have seen people fishing Swepco out of yaks, my dad and I used to fish it out of his canoe back in the 90's. If it's not too windy it's a great lake to fish out of a yak.
Anybody fish these on The Rock? They look like they could catch fish, but are not being manufactured anymore. There are some on Ebay. Picture is a tad small, they resemble one of those Rebel craws.
If he's drafted early, he'll get paid well. 1st round picks get 4 year contracts at a minimum rate and a pro-rated bonus depending on where in the draft order they are picked. It's pretty much been locked in under the latest collective bargaining agreement. There is some flexibility in the bonus structure.
If he goes to a Div II school and plays hard, practices hard, does well in school, in other words becomes a model citizen, he will have a shot at being an early draft choice.
My dad and his fishing buddy fished those Charlie Brewer slider heads with black Zoom Trick worms (every once in a while they fished watermelon), almost year round. They fished them in lakes and would make a few float trips a year and they'd fish them in the rivers. They caught a lot of bass on that outfit.
Yeah, unless there's been a drastic change in the last 24 hours, the fishing is good once you get past Panther creek. That's as far up river as I've been.
There is debris all the way down the lake to point 23. But, main channel temps were still reasonable, low 50's or so. Fish were in the main channel and in the coves getting ready for the spawn.
Watched the Sox beat the Yanks last night. Always fun to watch them beat the Yanks in Yankee stadium. Ex-Cards pitcher Mujica got the save. Got the DVR set up to record this afternoon's game.
