  1. Great day Bill glad to see you whackin 'em!
  2. I did not go out yesterday, had some stuff to do around the house, but I think I will go today. Need to take advantage of the last of this warm weather.
  3. On a cold winters day, you hardly ever see anyone on the Big M dock. I never fish it, but have been sorely tempted.
  4. He just needed another 1/2 inch and I might have kept him.
  5. Pretty much what you're saying, except 3/8 oz bullet weight and a Tube. Launched at Big M. Sounds like you have a nasty cold - get well soon!
  6. Just finished another library book - "Shot All to Hell - Jesse James, The Northfield Raid" - Mark Lee Gardner. Interesting read if you like reading about western outlaw history. Fairly well written, it goes into great detail, too much in my opinion, about the post Northfield raid posse chase of the James and Youngers.

Darn fish, ready built luxury accommodations and they turn their nose up at it.

Looks like it would make a great flathead hotel.

A popular place in it's day. Everybody just seems to be standing around looking.
  11. Still in my 7-10 fish per day rut, not that I'm complaining, it's great to get out. Started late today, waited for the ice fog to burn off, ended up fishing from 11:00 to 4 PM. Caught 7 bass, a few chunky ones, a couple of mean mouth, a few LM's and one spot. Also caught a wet sock. Got the bass all on tubes and the wet sock on a jerk bait. Bass were on deep rocky stuff, 10-30 feet down. I need to get out and start using the depth finder to find some shad and do some spooning, but just haven't been motivated to pick up the spoon. I like working those trees and rocks. Water temp was 43-45. A couple of meanies - The Wet Sock:
  12. Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope they catch the bums and recover your stuff.
  13. Very cool!
  14. You can fish docks on TR.
  15. The only thing I see out there is this Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/events/161930547282856/
  16. I haven't done any ned fishing myself yet, but one of these days I'll try it. A few weeks ago I picked up some fish on a 5" Slim Senko on TR, but I was T-rigging it. I like throwing a weightless wacky rigged Senko when the fish are spawning.
  17. That was pretty incredible to fish however many river miles we fished and never see another boat fishing.
  18. Yep it's too darn cold today - I have the time and the desire, but no way I'm fishing when it's this cold. But Thursday is looking good and so is Saturday.
  19. Yep, I learn a lot from the folks here. And I'll learn some more as time goes on. That's part of the fun of fishing, doing something different and being rewarded by catching a fish. I'm even thinking of doing a little fly-fishing for bass this year. I think it would be fun to work the edges of the buck brush with a streamer.
  20. I hear you on the shad in Grand lake, that lake is filled with them.
  21. No I haven't tried the Net Bait worms, but I probably should - I take it the brown ones work for you?
  22. Good luck Brett! Let us know how you do.
  23. Has anybody caught a bass on a 10XD on TR? I bought a couple last year, and they sit unused in my tackle box.
  24. Sorry, FIFY = Fixed It For You.
